Ashley  cast summon as far south as she could and sent her after Alice.
Preparing to climb the wall, Alice is statled by Beatrice's buzzing
Ashley dammit! What's your wasp doing here?

Alice sees and hears the ballista torn from its mounting with a loud cracking sound but she can't tell from her position what did it.
Alice looks up in confusion
The hell was that? An orc boss?

Alice dives back under ths snow and decides to retreat through the tunnel she dug back to the others to find out what's going on
[Can I move at half-speed or 60ft through tunnels I just made instead of 1/4 speed while digging through fresh snow?]

[I moved Alice as much as I thought she could go not knowing her exact original path.]

[The enemy's whereabouts is outside your knowledge at this time.]

[Elevation map]

[The colors go blue, aqua, green and yellow-green, each one is roughly 5ft higher.]

Cat listens to Ashley's report and at first all looks good. But then...

You all look in horror as the bald head of a giant beast emerges, followed by two very large arms and he pulls the ballista off the top of the wall, equipping it like a crossbow, he tries to aim it at Beatrice and you can just make out a shrill yell and he turns his head back toward his side of the wall. He then climbs down.
Cat is more fascinated than scared by the huge beast
Nyaa a Troll Nya? With a Ballista Nya? What's with this place Nya?

Yulya slaps her own cheeks with her palms to regain focus
For now we should stay hidden and prepare an ambush!
Cat you should go further South and hide then attack the beast from behind while it is busy chasing Alice. Ashley and me will stay here for ranged attacks and support.
Cat moves 30ft SW and hides behind the tree but stays within 30ft of Yulya within range of Emboldening Bond

Seeing Alice return Yulya casts EMBOLDENING BOND on Alice and Cat.
Do not engage that beast too far from here or I cannot assist you! Ideally we would lure it here. And be on the lookout. We do not want to be the ones getting surprised and ambushed. We need to find out where they are!

[Can I cast Emboldening Bond on people I cannot see? Alice is still under the snow. And all snow counts as difficult terrain right?]

Alice looks out of the snow and spots the others. After receiving EMBOLDENING BOND and learning about the huge monster approaching, she moves under the snow again and 30ft W

"This is where having loud summons is pretty dumb, I'm going to have to summon someone but who? I have a lot more mana now so that's going to make things a lot easier at least." Ashley holds her move until after she can see a target, "sending the girls after a troll alone is pretty wasteful." She moves West as far as she can this turn.

It doesn't say you must see them. https://dnd5e.wikidot.com/cleric:peace Yes the white snow parts are difficult terrain, the orange/brown parts aren't.

Yulya Casts Embolding bond on Alice and Cat.

Alice moves 30ft West

[I will let you determine how far you can go on a turn for now.]

Cat moves [DASH] 30ft Southwest

A sound unlike anything you've ever heard pierces the air, the troll with a ballista has been spotted and you're not ready for this. He looks Northeast toward where the buzzy thing was spotted.

[Hardmode activated, good luck.]

Another figure appears on the palisade wall with a rather nasty looking crossbow, he places it on the sharp pillars to steady it. <<And scans for a target.>>

"Enemy spotted. Oh damn he's big... Yulya, should I summon Nixie?"

Cat is unfazed by the Troll and prepares for combat. She stealthily moves 30 ft  in a NE-SE arc in cover of the trees and hides

Yulya looks at Ashley

Nonono thats way too loud! We need the element of surprise and the Troll is still too far away! Summon Nixie simultaneously with Cat and Alice attacking the Troll so she also has the element of surprise! I shall head a bit further West and hide there. I must be sure that the encounter happens within my spell range!

I suggest you summon more wasps to distract both the bandit and the troll! Lure the troll to where Cat is going and keep the bandits attention further South-East!

Yulya moves 15ft W and hides behind the tree

Alice burrows 15 ft W until she hits the trunk of the tree. She uses Phagocytis on herself to remove any scent and then carefully looks out of the snow to see what's going on while staying hidden. She hasn't seen the Troll yet - or any Troll ever.

The wind howls as this game of Cat and mouse continues. Cat attempts to move roughly West through the trees unseen. Yulya moves 15ft West, Ashley moves 15FT Southwest and Alice moves West until she emerges under the canopy of a tree, she emerges among sap, spider webs and thick layers of needles in the nearest conifer, she does her best to mask her scent.

[Hidden Rolls]

They deftly remain hidden as the enemy scans the landscape. They hear a whistle and the stomping of the large beast headed around the wall. It collapses the snow tunnel Alice has previously used and catches her scent. It begins to plow through the snow at full speed following her tunnel around the corner of the wall.

Ashley casts summon dragon wasp and lets loose Barbie into the wind, the audible pop sounding no different than a twig snap or large cone falling. She sails down with a strong tailwind allowing her to travel farther than she would have.

Because of the wind, she's carried further south than she intends and reaches the troll. The figure on the wall only spots her as she's approaching and trains his crossbow on her.

[HIT vs DC10 1d20+5=18] The bolt skewers her as she pops out of existence, quickly dissipating in the wind.

[Hidden Rolls]

Confused but undeterred, the figure calls out to the wind with an unknown utterance and the troll continues its march Northwest.

Disgusted by the spiderwebs and debris, Alice looks around to see if she can spot the monster (she hasn't seen yet).
Bah, at least this should mask my scent, I smell like pine now!

Confirming Cat's position, Alice digs a tunnel 10 ft W and hides there.

Yulya gives Ashley a thumbs up and signals her to continue spamming wasps. As Alice pops up she waits for a loud gust of wind and casts SHIELD OF FAITH on Alice to raise her AC

Cat clicks her teeth like a cat that has spotted a bird, barely able to contain her urge to rush out and attack the beast. But the cat is a stealthy predator and can also patiently lay in wait if necessary!

Ashley stays put and send another buzzer south.

Alice moves 10FT West.

[I suppose I know where your tunnels are and will note them personally if it comes up. There's no snow under the trees to tunnel, just so you know.]

Yulya casts SHIELD OF FAITH on Alice to raise her AC

[I am allowing multiple concentration spells though this is technically not Vanilla. Note that if Yulya is hit, she will lose concentration on this spell.]

Cat lays in wait

[This is why I thought surprise should have a free attack and initiative because couldn't you save your turn, but vanilla says no, you can't save up a move from one round to the next, it is forfeit if you take no action on the turn, I will however automatically give you parry so if someone tries to attack you, parry will block it within the damage of your biggest melee weapon for melee attacks, it doesn't apply to ranged attacks. I am also allowing advantage if you retain surprise obviously. I am also guaranteeing initiative, so no roll was necessary. So far you have a good chance not to be spotted though every time you move there's a chance to be seen. They can't see you if you're behind full cover and they can't hear your footsteps because of the blizzard like conditions, they also can't hear the dragon wasps but they will hear anything bigger.]

The wind gust causes any lateral move Beatrice makes to move as much South.

[She made it 25ft North of the Northwest wall corner.]

The hooded crossbowman continues to look out for anyone.

The Troll hears the wasp and moves North instead of following Alice's trail East. He closes the distance, though she's slightly obscured from the crossbowman, the troll is able to swing at her with his crossbow as an 2-size up improvised weapon.

[HIT vs AC10 1d20+7=CR][Hidden rolls] The troll easily smashes Beatrice like swatting a fly, she pops out of existence again. He sticks his nose in the air and is able to smell Ashley and Yulya.

[You notice that with his size, the Troll is free to move normally and is not slowed by the snow.]

[This ends Round 2 if no one else has any further moves. Currently you have initiative as default.]

Cat continues to lay in wait for one more round. She nervously looks over at Ashley seeing the Troll approach
