[Round 5]

Alice whirls around moving N and attacks the troll from the front with her spear 2-handed followed by an unarmed strike. She expends her last Ki point to deal additional necrotic damage with Hand of Harm.

Cat draws power from the World Tree and attempts to heal Alice, then signals her to switch sides, racing around the troll to absorb damage from the bandit's crossbow.

Alice and Cat move, the troll is grappled and thus at a disadvantage anyway.

Though Alice strategized in the meta thread, she made no indication that she stopped Cat from swapping positions with her. Alice however only says she is going North, which is 3/4 cover from the tree but behind Cat from the crossbowman.

Cat's natural connection to the world tree bestows alice with 2d6=7 7 temporary HP.[/i]

Ashley Calls Rally Attack with Nixie, giving her two attacks this turn.

Again Cat swings her Greatsword for a Heavy blow. While Alice uses her last ki point for a two-handed attack with her spear with an unarmed attack and enhanced necrotic damage. While Nixie claws and bites the troll.

[HIT vs AC15 SPEAR 1d20+2+3+1d4EB=(9,13), UNARMED 1d20+2+3+1d4EB=(13,13)] Alice can't penetrate the tough hide with her spear this time and her blow ricochets off the beast.
[HIT vs AC15 1d20+4+2+1+1d4EB(-5 HEAVY)=(10,15)][DMG 2d6+4+1+2R(+10 HEAVY)=20] Cat's slash barely gets through and she manages to get some good damage on the troll. It's nearly down!
[HIT CLAW and BITE vs AC15 1d20+4=(17,15),(6,13)][CON vs DC14 1d20+8=21][DMG 1d6+2=7] Nixie's Claw dug deep in the beast's wounds and she manages to down the large creature but her bite cannot penetrate the hide.

With no one to target, Yulya holds her move. [We'll come back to this.]

Before they can even celebrate, someone surprises Cat from behind. You all hear him cast an evocation and the troll comes back to consciousness. [The beast heals for 3d8=14 but is now prone and still grappled by Nixie.]

The crossbowman fires at Cat from behind, [HIT vs 15AC 1d20+2=(3,10)] ,but the shot misses.

Yulya takes this opportunity to use another charge from her ring and cast Toll of the Dead twice on the troll again, hoping to knock it out yet again before it can attack. The sound of a bell fills the air again as Yulya draws the Shaman's staff warms to the touch and it feels warm in this cold wind as its goblin magic adds to her spell. [SAVE WIS vs DC15 1d20=20,2][DMG WOUNDED 1d12+3=12] Mercy of the gods smile upon her as once again the troll's eyes go dark.

Alice moves SW into the thicket of the tree as far as she needs to be able to see the beastmaster but as close to the troll as possible and as deep as required to gain full cover. Ideally 5ft S of the troll. She carefully pulls a poisoned arrow from her quiver and shoots it at the beastmaster.

Both relieved that the troll is defeated and worried the beastmaster could bring him back Yulya moves 15 ft southeast and casts one more round of Toll the Dead on him after Alices and Cats attacks
Great work Ashley! Make sure Nixie does not release the troll and keeps him grappled. He could be revived any time!

Cat again uses Life Giving Force while Alice is close. With Feline Agility she dashes SW and attacks the beastmaster in opposite position of the bandit with the crossbow. She attacks him with her claws with Nick.

[Round 5] I made adjustments to the previous two rounds to account for Cat's rage damage bonus (+2), there was no change to the outcome for that; however, I also didn't take into account Cat's Sentinel feat which should have allowed her a reaction strike on the Troll. So I chose to roll and she did hit but because her reaction comes after the troll's attacks, additional damage was done to the troll without additional modifiers like HEAVY. The result does not change the outcome.

Yulya casts Toll of the dead on the unconscious troll once again. [SAVE WIS vs DC15 1d20=8][DMG WOUNDED 1d12+3=4] A sickly gray energy surrounds the troll from the spell amid the chiming of a dolorous bell, doing minimal damage.

With 3/4 cover to the beastmaster, Alice fires a poison arrow. With a flash of green energy the arrow is blown off course and misses harmlessly, the beastmaster had a triggered spell effect: WIND WALL.

A torrent of wind surrounds him in a torus making it impossible to strike him with normal missiles.

Cat's life-giving force on Alice, 2d6=4 Alice gains 4 temporary hit points, then she rushes the beastmaster, breaking into the wall she immediately is hit by the force of the wind.[STR(A) vs DC12 1d20+4=(21,10)][DMG 3d8/2=2 bludgeoning damage, given Cat's Rage she is resistant to Bludgeoning damage so she takes 1HP damage] She dual attacks with her claws and nick (3 attacks, one from a bonus action due to the LIGHT attribute of her claws). [HIT vs 15+5AC, 15AC 1d20+6=(21,CR,24)] With the sound of shattering glass, his temporary magic shield spell is dissipated by Cat's first hit, she's able to penetrate it's +5AC with ease, and with an amazing show of skill Cat manages all three hits, one of them critical! [DMG 1d6+4+2R, (1d6+4+2R)x2 + Wound and Exhaustion, 1d6+4+2R = 7+18+12=37 damage!]

He's surprised by her attack leaving him with a wound on his right leg which will slow him by 5ft, and with Exhaustion 1 his speed is lowered an additional 5ft and he loses -2 from his proficiency on attacks.

Ashley has Nixie hold the Troll and wait then casts Summon Mechathereal Lynx and sends Olga South.

Olga races south toward Cat but seeing her damaged by the protective wind surrounding the beastmaster, she hesitates. [Olga's HP is low enough that she would likely die if she tries to attack the beastmaster.] However, once Cat's attacks land, the Beastmaster loses concentration on his spell and is vulnerable.

The man on the wall sees Olga but can't get a clear shot at her so he fires at Cat. [HIT vs AC15 1d20+2=5] His bolt misses her.

The beastmaster disengages from Cat as a bonus action and calls fourth the forces of nature to aid him casting CONJURE ANIMALS.

Four lesser winter wolves appear between the beastmaster and Cat and attack with pack tactics and advantage.

[Note: The trail the Troll made is now compacted snow and is no longer difficult terrain.]

Olga gets the jump on one of them as they approach and Nixie sees this and can't wait around on an unconscious troll, she flanks the wolf with Olga. [HIT vs AC13 1d20+4=(9,23)][CON vs DC14 1d20+1=15][DMG 1d4+2=3] Olga does minimal damage.

Nixie attacks with her claws, [HIT vs AC13 1d20+4=(20,CR)][CON vs DC14 1d20+1=12][DMG (1d6+3)x2=18] Nixie's attack downs the lesser winter wolf! Then using Action surge, she moves and pounces on a second wolf, flanking advantage with Olga.

[HIT CLAW vs AC13 1d20+4=(24,22), GRAPPLE vs DC12 1d20+2=15, CON vs DC14 1d20+1=6][DMG (1d6+3)x2=16] MVP Nixie downs another wolf!

The two remaining winter wolves attack Cat [HIT vs AC15 1d20+4=(14,20)(6,19)][DMG 1d6+2+1d6+2=9 Piercing Cold damage][CON vs DC11 1d20+3=17,15][Cat does not have resistance to piercing 'cold' damage with rage] Cat is chilled as she takes 9 damage.

If that wasn't bad enough, the other two bandits approach and join the wolves in their attack with their hunting bow and crossbow. [There is a woman and a man, the woman has a crossbow the man has a hunting bow.]

[HIT vs AC15 1d20+2=(12,18),(4,12)][DMG 1d10=2 piercing but cat is resistant with rage and takes only 1HP damage. She is now at 31, Alice is now at 13+11]
