Unable to cast, both zombies attempt to get free
Alice remains in control of her zombie, Nixie's unable to keep hers and he escapes the grapple, then stands, he casts Fear.
A phantasmal image of your worst nightmare appears above the zombie causing Olga, Helga, and Alice to quake with fear. Alice, Olga and Helga are frightened and will remain so until a successful saving throw. Olga and Helga are compelled to dash away next turn. Alice's line of sight is blocked giving her a saving throw or be compelled to dash away from Ghoul Zombie 2.
[Alice rolls a 1 with the d20 and decides to leave.]
With her body still in the puny liquid emergency survival mode, Alice cannot control her fear, disengages and dashes away as fast as she can.

Yulya sighs with relief seeing Ashleys summons tackle the ghoul approaching her.
But the relief is short and soon 3 party members are on the run. As soon as Yulya regains her composure she takes action. Two can play this game!  With 2 points of the staff she casts Magic Missiles on the zombie on the stairs this time amplified with the goblin staff. After everyones actions - if both zombies are still up Yulya moves to the NW corner of the platform and casts Channel Divinity Turn Undead forcing the zombie ghouls to retreat. If only one zombie is left Yulya will attack him with Toll the Dead boosted with the focus to lv2. Should he still be left after her Toll the Dead attack, Yulya will retreat 30ft SW onto the western platform and avert her eyes

With confusion Cat sees Alice letting go of the zombie and run off
Damnit Nya what are you doing Alice Nya?

Cat gives temp HP to Nixie and continues to attack the ghoul with her claws using Nick.

[Round 3]

Frightened, Olga, Helga and Alice Dash directly away as far as they/them can go, Alice lets loose her prone, grappled prey.

Cat gives Nixie THP then slashes at the still prone ghoul zombie 1.

[2d8=9]

[HIT(A) 1d20+5+1d4=(14,CR)][DMG 1d6+5+2=12x2 weakness to slashing]

GZ1 takes 24 slashing damage and ceases to be re-unalived.

Nixie slashes at GZ2

[HIT(A) vs AC16 1d20+2+5+1d4=(9,14),(13,25)][CON vs DC15 1d20+3=11][DMG 1d6+3+2=8x2 weakness to slashing]

GZ1 takes 16 slashing damage and is also killed.

Yulya stands astonished that the threat has ended and doesn't know what to do with herself.

"Yeah Nixie! I even forgot to rally you. Shred these fools, tear their spines from their pathetic corpses, and place their severed heads on pikes to warn the others. Crush their skulls and consume the flesh so that they will never rise again."

[The threat is neutralized, please let me know what you intend to do next, I presume continue to rest.]

Alice stops short of jumping into the lake to hide underwater as she realizes the threat is gone. She hesitantly returns to Yulya like a dog that has been caught doing something bad.
My apologies to let you see such shameful behavior. This body - is not made for fighting. I must regain my former strength...

Alice returns to the tent and hones her spear.
Still for those guys to revive - I should have disposed of their bodies earlier.
Yulya is this normal in this world or the work of some magic user?

But she is just glad its over after the cats and Alice panicked
They were capable spellcasters I underestimated this...

I am certainly no expert on ghouls but I would not rule out a necromancer behind this. We must stay vigilant!
Yulya refills her focus and goes to rest in the tent.

Cat slices the ghoul zombie apart with a satisfying crunch
Nyahaha you won't scare me off Nya!

Cat checks the area for more threats before washing her claws at the pond and returning to the tent.
Alice Nya those guys were vulnerable to slashing Nya but you have no slashing weapon Nya! Take one of the shortswords we found Nya!

Cat hones her sword and keeps watch while the others rest. After resting she prepares a breakfast worth 1 ration for everyone.

[Time: Tuesday, Spring 26, 18:26, 9C Calm]

The next 7 hours are dead quiet, nothing disturbs you as you rest. Everyone is refreshed.

Cat's sword and Alice's spear are sharpened.

Ashley didn't need to rest any more so her cats are remaining active. In her freetime, she searches for ore samples.

[Luck hidden rolls]

She finds nothing worth taking as samples.

"At this rate, I'm going to need to mine a vein directly."

After eating and packing everything up. Cat is ready to go and takes the front in explorations.
Let's move Nya, we've wasted enough time here Nya!

Hmm, not a bad idea, I always wanted to try this! At least until I get a slashing reach weapon!
Alice takes a shortsword, hones it and puts it in her pack.

After Rest, Alice moves beside Cat with her bow readies with a honed arrow. If there are no enemies, Alice inspects the barrels at the edge of the unexplored Western passage

The barrels contain low grade ore of little value without equipment to crush and sort it. Traces of the finely glinting mythril ore is likely the reason why this ore was stored rather than discarded.

[Awaiting Yulya's response to continue.]

Well rested and fed Yulya continues where we were before - leading her party to the only unexplored tunnel going west. She follows behind Alice and Cat an checks the area for traps.
Be careful I doubt this was the last creature on this floor - alive or undead! Watch everything from floor to ceiling!

[Time: Tuesday, Spring 26, 19:00, 9C Calm]

W8: Fungi Cavern

As you walk East past the old ale barrels now repurposed for ore, you see several areas where the false floors have collapsed.

[Perception 1d20+5=8]

Curious crystals of glittering aquamarine minerals seem to have grown after the walls have been dug. Appearing like flowstone but with bursts of crystalline structure that no one can identify seem to also have a slimy mold growing on them. Though they don't give off their own light, any speckle of light is reflected off these damp glimmering surfaces. Ashley attempts to use her prospector's pick to take a sample but the crystals are harder than the iron of her tool and refuse to chip or dislodge. She can sense a magic property of the mineral and the structure indicates it's grown up instead of settled down, seeping up from some lower part of the mine rather then flowing down from the action of percolating water.

After you snake around the fallen floors, you come to a rickety bridge, haplessly placed across a chasm.
The air becomes oppressively humid and stale here, smelling faintly of sulfur, damp and decay. Though the bridge seems sturdy enough, only one can cross at a time, so naturally Cat goes first followed by the rest of you.

[Hidden rolls]

The cavern ahead is littered with the destroyed remains of orc skeletons. Among the dusty remains are spots where something had been laying, obviously the orc skeletons you fought earlier came from here, all the intact ones are gone. Even some of the bones are overgrown with colorful fungi and crystals.

Where the slime covering the crystals have spilled out over the floor, bioluminescent fungal fruiting bodies have grown, giving the cavern a other-worldly appearance. The foul draft from the chasm below is warm and a hole that looks like it wasn't dug by a miner is just a few meters down, it looks natural, almost like a large animal borrowed here.

You all manage to make it across safely.

Entering further into the cavern, the outcroppings give way to dense carpets of the weird fungi covering large sections of the floor in this cavern amid the brightly glimmering crystals. Aside from the glowing heads, the growth includes puffballs a foot across, weird shelf fungus also is growing on the walls and stalagmites, a couple of them are large with stalks and caps a good five feet tall. Some of the puffballs glow with an eerie aqua phosphorescence to match the crystals.

[Nature 1d20+5=7]

The blue-green glowing fungi and crystals allow you to see the entire cavern without the aid of darkvision or a light source.
