Yulya moves within range and casts Embolding bond on Alice and Cat, then begins to cast using her focus.

Alice moves N of the creature and prepares to Grapple.

Cat approaches, gaining advantage due to flank and attacks using her great sword. She previously had gained 4 temporary hit points and bestows 6 more on Alice.

[HIT vs AC22 1d20+5+2+1+2d4-5=(14,14)]

Her heavy blow deflects off the creature's rock hard hide.

[Grapple vs DC18 1d20+5+1d4EB=CR]

Alice grapples the beast and begins her attack. Alice uses Flurry of blows for 1 Ki point for a bonus action and attack with an unarmed strike as well as Hand of Harm (2nd Ki point).

[HIT(A) vs AC22 1d20+3+2+1d4+1d4=(CR,26), 1d20+3+2+1d4=(13,22),(22,17)][DMG (1d6+3)*2/2+1d6+(1d6+3)/2+(1d6+3)/2=4+6 necrotic+2+4]

Alice adeptly lands every blow, she couldn't have had a better attack, but the creature resists a fair bit of her bludgeoning damage for a total of 16 damage.

Yulya uses her Ring of Quick Casting.  She empties her focus to boost Toll the Dead and amplifies it with her goblin staff releasing everything on the monster.

[Luck, Potency 1d100=17,11][WIS vs DC12 1d20+5=CR][DMG ((4d12+(1d12*3/4)(poor luck)*Potency countered by Critical pass=(19+8)=27 Necrotic Damage]

With a near deafening bell that kicks up dust and splashes green goo, Yulya's spell rings true on the beast dealing a total of 20 damage on it. However, the necrotic damage seems to resonate with the skeletons in the chamber, eight small skeletons awaken and begin to shift. Wielding whatever they can manage to grasp, they join the battle.

[Round 2]

Ashley calls Rally Growth, boosting her summons with damage and extra AC

Nixie sets up to Pounce using disengage. Mr. B additionally attacks!

[HIT CLAW vs AC22 1d20+5+1d4=(9,19)]

[HIT CLAW vs AC22 1d20+4+1d4=(12,14)]

Neither Mr. B nor Nixie manage to get a good swipe in.

Shifting and creaking, they jump to action attacking anything that moves.

Cat takes her reaction to attack one of the approaching skeletons using sentinel.

[HIT vs AC22 1d20+5+2+1+1d4=(17)][DMG 2d6+1+2+5+1=19]

Cat Cuts Skeleton 3 in half causing it to deanimate.

Alice attempts to deflect the blow from Skeleton is struck and succeeds in deflecting it to the Bulette for 4/2 damage.

The bulette Attempts to Bite and claw at any enemy it sees.

[HIT 1d20+9,+5,+1=27,(10,18),(20,13)][DMG 2d10+10=23, 2d8+10=18]

Nyaa what is this thing made of Nya?

N-Nya?
Where's the necromancer Nya?

Cat Cuts Skeleton 3 in half causing it to deanimate.
Cat is hit and takes 1 blunt damage from Skeleton2
The bulette attacks Cat with a bite for 23/2=11 damage and crushes Skeleton5 into dust.
Ow Nya they're attacking each other Nya?

Cat again gives temporary HP to Alice and moves 5ft NW so the bulette, skeleton 2+3 are in reach. Then she attacks them using Sweep.
If the skeletons are down, Cat re-positions herself so she can aid Nixie with Sentinel.

Damn, so it resists bludgeoning damage as well!

Hey hey I told you this would happen! At least we took put the big guys I hope!
If she can, Alice attempts to shove the bulette prone. If impossible she attacks it with her spear 1-handed. Alice uses her bonus unarmed strike to hit the skeleton N of her with bludgeoning damage. With her Crusher feat, she moves it 5ft W towards the hole. Maybe the skull will roll away and down into the abyss? If possible, she repositions herself on the bulette to be within Cat's Sentinel range, but maintaining a grapple and staying away from the beast's jaws has priority.

Yulya is both underwhelmed by the apparent damage of her magnificent spell and horrified it apparently awakened all the skeletons
Ononono I do not want to do this! Did I do this? Ashley what do we do now?

Yulya watches in confusion as everyone is attacking everyone. She decides to cast BANE on the bulette.

Cat again gives [2d6=8] temporary HP to Alice and moves 5ft NW so the bulette, skeleton 2+3 are in reach. Then she attacks them using Sweep.

[HIT vs AC12,12,22 1d20+5+2+1+2d4=32S1,+5+2+1+1d4=29S2,+5+2+1+1d4=28B][DMG 2d6+STR+1+2RAGE, +3, +6=11,19,22]

With one fell swoop, Cat takes out two skeletons and does significant damage to the Bulette. Cat then re-positions herself so she can aid Nixie with Sentinel.

Alice attacks the Bulette with her spear 1-handed, then uses her bonus unarmed strike to hit the skeleton N of her with bludgeoning damage.

[HIT 1d20+3+2+2d4,+1d4=(29,25),CM][DMG 1d6+3+1Hone=8/2=4]

Alice's spear barely penetrates it's stony hide, resisting half the piercing damage, then she misses the skeleton with a wide swing.

If possible, she repositions herself on the bulette to be within Cat's Sentinel range, but maintaining a grapple and staying away from the beast's jaws has priority. Her movement leaves her open to attack from Skeletons 7 and 8, they take the attack of opportunity.

[HIT vs AC14 1d20+4=21,23][DMG 2d4+4=7]

They both manage a hit, the first hit is deflected to the Bulette for 4/2=2 damage the second hits her for 3/2=1 damage.

Ashley shakes her head and mumbles to Yulya, "the skeletons were good fodder, they shouldn't be attacking them."

Yulya casts Bane on the Bulette.

[CHA vs DC15 1d20-2=15]

It saves against the spell.

Ononono I do not want to do this! Did I do this? Ashley what do we do now?

"First of all, don't panic, we're chipping away at it. If more show up, then panic.

Ashley casts Summon Mechathereal Lynx, Helga pops into the world moves to a position around the Bulette and attacks.

[HIT 1d20+4+1d4, +5+1d4=(24,15)(25,CR)][CON vs DC15 1d20+6 = 2,16][DMG 1d4+2+1=7 Magical Piercing + (1d6+3)*2/2=6]

Both hits connect for a total of 11 damage and Nixie's bite manages to wound its right knee causing a drop in mobility by 5ft should it try to move. In addition it appears to be growing wary of the battle, the bulette is showing its injuries, the attacks are making a difference.

The skeletons attack whatever they can reach.

[HIT 1d20+4=(9,17)N,(7,23)H,(14,9)B,(16,8)B][DMG 1d4+2N=3,1d4+2H=3]

They manage to hit Nixie and Helga.

Now the Bulette takes his turn, using it's bite and claws

[HIT 1d20+6,+2,-2=(9,11,CM)]

Striking at skeleton6 and Helga, it misses on all accounts.

Cat decides the skeletons are too weak to be a concern and focuses on the bulette again. She attempts another Heavy blow on the creature with her greatsword.
Nyaa keep going Nya!

Damn bonehead!
This is ridiculous! I can barely damage this thing!

Alice nonetheless tries to remain in Cat's sentinel reach and continues her attack on the bulette with  the spear and an unarmed strike.

Yulya casts Bane on the Bulette.
It saves against the spell.
Yulya shakes her head.
Nothing works today. At least nobody got a serious hit...

Yulya fumbles with her focus trying to refill it for a more potent attack.
Ashley do you think the skeletons will reanimate again if I use necrotic damage once more? I am still unsure whether this is good or bad...

[Round 3]

Cat attempts to strike the Bulette with Heavy.

[HIT 1d20+5+2+1-5=CR][DMG (2d6+5+1+2+10)x2=44 magic slashing damage]

With an expert hit to the neck, she slices through his thick rock-like hide. The bulette gasps one last grumble and falls silent.

[Alice's target is no longer valid, please change your move.]

Yulya fills her focus to 6MP leaving just 1MP left.

Ashley do you think the skeletons will reanimate again if I use necrotic damage once more? I am still unsure whether this is good or bad...

"I may be a sorceress, but I'm not an expert on the necrotic interactions of arcane energies and the undead. But look, it's down."

Ashley calls Rally Growth.

Nixie disengages and pounces on Skeleton4.

[HIT CLAW vs AC12 1d20+5+1d4=(13,10), GRAPPLE vs DC13 1d20+0=6, HIT BITE vs AC12 1d20+5=(12,22), CON vs DC15 1d20+0=19,2][DMG 1d6+3+1d6+3+2=14*1.5=21]

Skeleton4 crumbles to the ground. Nixie then slinks around to flank with Helga.

Helga attacks Skeleton6

[HIT CLAW vs AC12 1d20+4+1d4=(13,10), CON vs DC15 1d20+0=11][DMG 1d4+3=4*1.5=6]

Skeleton6, falls apart.

The remaining Skeletons change targets, attacking blindly anything living thing around them.

Skeletons7 attack Nixie, Skeleton8 attacks Alice.

[HIT 1d20+4=2,13]

Both miss their targets.

Alice and Cat feel a rumbling below their feet. Ashley and Yulya hear it.

"Crap! Alice, Cat, get out of there! Those things seem to be blind, let's hide and regroup! They might think the remaining skeletons are the only enemies left!"

As so often Yulyas relief over defeating a monster doesnt last long. She signals Alice and Cat to retreat and dashes 60ft southeast
Im with you Ashley but I think these creatures can feel vibrations over great distances! I doubt we can move out of its detection range if another one surfaces!

[Alice's target is no longer valid, please change your move.]
With an expert hit to the neck, Cat slices through his thick rock-like hide. The bulette gasps one last grumble and falls silent.
Alice tumbles off the bulette.
Whoa, That's Cat's monster strength for you! I didn't think it would go down this easily!

Alice stabs the bulette with her spear 2.handed to make sure it stays dead, then hits the skeleton behind her with an unarmed strike.
I haven't forgotten about you, bonehead!

Alice and Cat feel a rumbling below their feet. Ashley and Yulya hear it.
Uh-oh!
Don't tell me there's more!
Let's get out of here!
Nixie stay clear of that weird green slime! You wanna turn into an undead too? Oh wait aren't you? Whatever, don't touch it! I'll leave a surprise for whatever's coming next!

Alice quickly goes to pick up the large skulls she removed.
I dunno which body you belonged to, I hope you don't care.

She places them back at the skeletons and then dashes off as far South as she can.
