Ashley sneakily approaches the door, she gives the shush signal to Yulya and takes out her thieves tools.

[Luck = 10]

Like an expert she studies the lock. She inserts the tools and she listens to the mechanism as she begins to depress the handle. The tools clang to the ground echoing throughout the hall.

She collects the tools and places them neatly back in their bag, then calmly states, "It's not locked." Ashley goes back to her original location and looks around nonchalantly. "So are you going in or what?"

Yulyas face freezes over at the loud noise.

Let us retreat and wait for a short while so we get a minimal element of surprise. Maybe someone comes out to check what is going on? Then I shall cast Emboldening Bond and we will go in.
Yulya moves back N out of sight of the door and calls for the others to retreat.

Alice is slightly baffled by the unlocked door
Did they really not hear us? Or is that their style? The gate to the mine was unlocked too. Well let's see what happens.

Alice retreats with Yulya and moves N of Cat, out of sight from the gate.

You move North and wait, but silence is all that you find and all that finds you. It seems that you are not being followed either, the cats report back only silence. Even the less than stellar luck Ashley had with the door didn't seem to matter. Everything is still and silent as the grave.

Ashley also follows and collects her cats North.

"I'm still not too keen on resting on this side of the fortified area." Ashley says quietly.

[I see no reason to wait for Cat's response, since she indicated she was going to simply do whatever you want to do.]

As nothing happens, Cat reluctantly gets ready to clear the final room.
She positions herself  next to the door  and enters rage.

Nya you open it Ashley Nya!

[Alice should scout first to see if she can surprise anyone, Cat will follow her.]

"Alright let's do this!'

Ashley grabs Alice and opens the door, then stands arms length behind her, Nixie and Helga stand ready to pounce.

Yulya uses Emboldening Bond on Alice and Cat and stays behind Ashley.
I will save my last MP for now. I pray the enemies are not too numerous!

Yes, yes, no need to rush! Are you that eager to kill and eat humans?
Alice slips through the door first and tries to get a sense of the situation without immediately being noticed - or to attack and grapple whatever is in the way. In case of a trap, Alice tries to escape it and dash away, relying on Cat's Danger Sense to do the same.

[Perception 1d20+2=11]

Alice busts in the room expecting a fight, spear ready and looked around. What she finds isn't exactly what she was expecting. She senses no traps.

W12 - Workshop

Marks on the floor indicate tracks were once laid here.

It looks like another area to work on carts and resupply was here, now still stocked with parts along with barrels full of unrefined ore. A flume on the East wall leads up to an old waterwheel sitting in a seven-foot-wide channel cut into the ceiling of the room, but the channel is dry.

On the Southwest wall, from this side, the tunnel dug by the Bulettes has metal plates and wood beams that have have been added to prevent anything from coming through the rubble. Apparently you would have discovered this a few hours into attempting to break through.

Newer glowstone lanterns are lit here resembling the ones on the higher levels.

There are freshly cleaned and polished markings scribed into the western wall as Alice enters, the Dwarvish is also accompanied by scribbles in common,
"Northwest shaft requires new chain, needs shoring! Abandoned for now.", "South of shaft, reinforce wall", "Temporary Shoring just North, vein is unstable do not cross", lastly in bold clear letters, written in three separate languages: "Bulette nest 300 feet Northwest, DO NOT DISTURB!"

The rest of the room is unremarkable, more tools, parts and finer tools for metalworking and carving. Mining tools, torches, rope that's long since lost its strength due to age and a couple more barrels marked as explosives, but again not mixed and no other means to know how to mix them. Lastly by the flume is a fresh barrel of dwarven ale that seems to have been stored there recently. The dust has been cleaned in this area.

Looking closer, it appears the finer tools have been disturbed recently and one a few have been knocked on the ground, something seems off about that considering everything else was so neatly stowed. Perhaps whoever was here had to leave in a hurry.

Ashley calls from the hall in a loud whisper, "What's in there, is it safe?" She turns to Yulya, "if it is, we should shut ourselves in and rest, then I can make it back up and get the elevator in a few hours, I'm really stealthy like that. I really want to set up these trigger rings, maybe I can auto-spawn Nixie, I guess you can have one back Yulya. Otherwise I don't need much rest." Ashley gives one of the rings to Yulya.

[Ashley is talking about two of the rings Sir Alric used. They are called "GLYPH RING OF WARDING" you can add any spell you're capable of casting into this and set a trigger for it to go off meeting predetermined conditions, they're still empty, Ashley has been absentmindedly holding on to them since the mechatherial goddess possessed her.]

[Interactions Required]

[Ashley is safe to make it to the elevator on the upper level to bring it down in 3 hours, though when she transforms back she will be naked unless Ashley panther remembers to take some clothes. If you choose to go with her, it will take 10 hours to move carefully enough not to have a chance to spawn encounters. Additionally if the group goes with her, there is a risk the Bulettes will hear and attack; the Bulettes will not sense Ashley Panther alone. She will also have to despawn her other pets or they may get bored and wander around aimlessly, setting off traps you potentially didn't see.]
