Cat pays no attention to fallen enemies. She gives Alice temporary HP and moves 5 ft south. She again tries to sweep the bugbears with her Greatsword.

[Round 2]

Ashley resummons Nixie and she's off again pouncing on Bugbear4.

[HIT CLAW vs AC18 1d20+5=13]

She misses.

Alice jumps bugbear 1 and attempts to grapple him. As always followed by a shove prone move, or a second grapple attempt in case the first one fails.

[Grapple vs DC17 1d20+5+1d4+EB1d4=13,14]

The bugbear is ready for her and blocks all attempts from her to grapple him.

Cat starts the round by obviously giving Temporary hit points to Alice. [2d6=8 THP]

Cat displaces Nixie and positions herself to attempt to sweep the bugbears.

[HIT SWORD SWEEP vs AC18 1d20+5+2+1+1d4+EB1d4=4,23,16], [DMG 2d6+5+1+2=16]

Hitting only Bugbear4, she does 16 magical slashing damage. He shrugs it off.

Seeing little threat in a cat or a small humanoid, They surround Cat and dual attack her with their maces and daggers.

[HIT(3) vs AC16 1d20+9,+7 ((24,24)(10,12))((14,18),(27,CR))((18-2,26-2)(15-2,27-2))][DMG 2d4+8+1d4+8 (12,9)(13,12)(15,11)=72/2 Resistant = 36][Cat is down to 10HP and won't survive another round of that.]

Cat is absolutely pummeled, every hit landing, one critically on her left leg. [Cat has exhausted 1 which means her attack proficiency bonus is negated (-2) and she has lost 5ft movement. Cat is also wounded and her movement has decreased an additional 5ft.]

"They're too tough, we're going to have to think about disengaging and falling back, Yulya, get your super dangerous and irresponsible megaweapon ready! Don't hold back!"

After a good start, Yulya witnesses everyone missing and Cat getting beaten to a pulp.

She panics and twins Word of Radiance with Toll the Dead boosted with all 6mp of her focus. She casts it on the bugbears amplified with her goblin staff.

Though Cat is severely injured by the combined force of the bugbears she refuses to back town. Unless all 3 are still up after Yulya's attacks, Cat doesn't disengage and run but continues to attack with her claws using Nick with a roaring Nyaaa.

For the moment Alice's main concern is that Yulya's Holocaust damages these bugbear ears beyond recognizeability once again. Alice follows Cat's resolve and unless Cat retreats Alice won't either. She attacks all surviving enemies with her spear 2-handed and 2 unarmed strikes with Flurry of Blows for a 3rd Ki point.
Gimme my ears! I'm not leaving here without your ears!

[Round 3]

Ashley considers if something might work, now is not the time to hold back, now that she has level 2 casting and Metamagic, she casts summon mechathereal Lynx with Quickened x2, using two level 2 slots, casting both spells as bonus actions, and somehow summons Olga and Helga but they're slightly off.

She glows a bright violet as she finishes the incantation, she has never tried boosting a summon and given she can't control more than three she presumed she'd have stronger versions of Olga and Helga. But her wild magic takes effect in the chaos of the unknown and her fate is determined by luck's choice.

[Chaos 1d100=(57,3); Luck 1d20=(23,97); Potency (96,66)]

Helga springs into existence, wreathed in flame as if from Hell itself, as a lesser fire elemental version of herself, the ground lights up at her touch and as she bounds firebolts shoot off from her in every direction.

[HIT vs AC15 1d20+5+1d4=15][DMG 1d10 Fire = 7]

Yulya is struck for 7 fire damage as she passes.

Olga is summoned next, and she in indeed boosted, she's as big as Nixie and her eyes shining as if lit with inner light, anyone looking into her eyes instantly feel regret and despair. [She has been summoned with cursed vision, if anyone moves or faces in her direction with with their eyes open (not blinded), they instantly gain the Apathetic trait for 1 minute, there is no save. This includes targeting her head on and flanking with her.]

Ashley calls Rally attack further boosting her summons attack, giving them each two attacks this turn.

"Sorry Yulya, but it was worth it! Also, no one look at Olga!"

In the chaos, before Olga and Helga can reach the targets, Yulya uses everything she has to boost Word of Radiance crossed with Toll of the Dead on these Bugbears. She also glows with Ashley's wild magic, having some of Ashley's chaotic energy stored in the focus

Starting with a double boost and 6MP she casts her combination using 2 MP and 3 SP. Against her will, she feels drained of more than she bargained for and both spells cast separately instead of combining.

[Chaos 1d100=(60,65); Luck 1d20=(72); Potency (86)]

Yulya feels her magic replenish by the same MP as she spent and her slot is restored as if she used no energy to cast this spell as a result of Ashley's wild magic. The high potency of this spell allows for half damage on failed save.

A shimmering bell of burning radiance forms over each of the Bugbear's heads.

[CON, WIS vs DC15 1d20+2,+1 = (10,14),(20,16),(12,19)][DMG: BB1 ((1d6+1d12+3)x3.75 = 60 ; BB2 (1d6+1d12+3)x.5x3.75 = 15; BB3 (1d6+3/2)x3.75+(1d12+3/2)*.5*3.75 = 32)]

Yulya is initially enthusiastic about the potential damage but the result falls flat in the end, but she's not long to lament as the other half of Ashley's chaotic magic takes hold of her and she uncontrollably casts lesser chain lightning on the three unsuspecting bugbears.

[DEX 1d20+3=(5,21,8) 4d10=(32,14/2=7,17) lightning damage]

Bugbear1 succumbs to it's massive injuries. His soft, fur lined ears, were BURNED CLEAN OFF and rendered to ash!

Bugbear3, the largest of the group, takes next to no significant damage and though he is injured, he's not in any danger of falling.

Remarkably, Bugbear4 also falls from his combined injuries, his ears, as Alice would need to know, were badly damaged, singed, and melted.

As the blinding and deafening magic subsides, Cat gives Alice [2d6=7 THP] and attacks Bugbear 3 with her claws using nick, managing three attacks in all.

[HIT vs AC 18 1d20+7+2d4=(26-2,30-2,20-2)][DMG 3d6+21=29]

Slashing the bugbear for 29 damage, Cat gives him a good workover, though surviving, he stands slightly wary.

Alice's furry comes next for the poor lad, unable to gain flank over the cornered Bugbear, she does her best with bless and embolding bond with her three strikes.

[HIT vs AC 18 1d20+5+2d4=(10,12,18)][DMG 1d6+3=4][This was not my doing, the dice have spoken]

Alice misses twice despite all odds and gets a pathetic 4 blunt damage on the derisive beast. Even while burned, electrocuted, and slashed, he laughs at her pathetic attempt. Almost grateful for her jester-like show of force.

But his laughter was short lived as three angry cats, squeeze past Alice and Cat. Helga's fiery aura takes its toll.

[Hit vs AC16,14,13,12,18 1d20+5+1d4=(CM,18,CR,13,22)][DMG 1d10 fire = (4,8,1,2)]

Alice is hit by a firebolt for 4 fire damage, there was no possibility to block it. Olga gets tagged for 8, Nixie takes 1 and finally the bugbear takes 2 fire damage.

All three cats attack twice due to rally attack, slashing with their claws. The bugbear becomes apathetic.

[HIT vs AC18 = 1d20+5(+4)+1d4=(15,18)(22,26)(17,26)][CON vs DC15 1d20+2=(15,11),(17,8),(7,16),(5,14)][DMG 1d6+5, 2d6+10, 1d4+3+1d10 fire damage = 32]

The bugbear crumbles to the ground, set ablaze and charred... (including the ears I'm afraid)

"Desecrate them my babies!" Ashley says in an uncharacteristically dark tone.

The hellish and cursed cats go about tearing the carcasses apart, feasting on their cooked and melted flesh.

[Congratulations, once again the OP Focus+Wild magic combo saves you. Experience will be calculated later.]

However, once again, before you can celebrate, another sound catches your attention, a booming voice echoes through the walls of the mine. "So you've made it this far?" The low toned and magically amplified voice rumbles with laughter. "What a pity you're too dangerous to keep alive."

You hear a young girl scream and Ashley and Yulya sense a large expenditure of magic.

The rather eloquent if not creepy voice continues. "I presume you're here for these girls from Phandalin? Why else would you come to this god forsaken waste of a mine!" He seems rather bitter just then. "Well, I've lost too much already, so I'll give you one as a token of my respect for you... adventurers," he sounds disgusted in that last word. "if you live kong enough to claim her that is. But I'm taking the second one with me to help recoup some of my devastating losses from this endeavor."

A young girl screams and calls for help from the Western tunnels.

His droll yet energetic laughter echoes through the cave.

[Make your moves.]

Cat is unsure what exactly happened, but that has never been much of concern to her. As long as the enemy is down, all is good.
Nyaa they were tougher than expected Nya!

Cat looks at her injuries with discontent. And then to Yulya for help
I need to get much stronger Nya...

If there's something of even less concern to Cat than details in battle, it's details outside of battle.
Nyaa who's that and what is he talking about Nya? What girls Nya? The bandits Nya? Ah whatever Nya. We'll just beat the hell outta everyone Nya.
