Body also barely has histamine response. There was a liiitle something at the histamine control of an allergy test but irrelevant. Bee and wasp stings do almost nothing. Host did get stung by many because he's a fool.The tropical bullet ant did hurt for a few minutes but not much more than a wasp. Host also did get stung in the head by a tarantula hawk in Indonesia when he wanted to make a close-up photo. Was ok-ish. And some  Brazilian scorpion he accidentally touched when it was crawling around somewhere on his chair. Hand was numb for half a day though. I wonder how he survived his expeditions.

I dunno about pain killers, never used those except when wisdom teeth were yanked out by that crazy dentist. That sucked but I assume the medication worked reasonably well.

Well, whatever, I'm glad you appear to be fine Mr. Bear. I still want a detailed report of what happened!

3pm Friday, went to pick up Bestie bc I promised her Chick-fil-A after school and work was light. Did you know she still cares more about me than the mother that takes care of her? I don't, I'm not her father, I'm her godfather and that is only an honorific title.  Never dated bestiemom, never my type, never thought about it, very happy she got married, very sad her husband died. He wasn't more than an acquaintance to me.

Picked her up, had a slight stomach upset, mostly while driving.

I don't eat fast food, she wanted nuggies.

Brought her home and left to work more and eat.

At 6pm I was to meet Bestiemom for work, did, stomach pretty upset, burning, something like 5 or 6 pain.

Then I spent an hour in the bathroom, my bathroom, and threw up my dinner from pain. Didn't feel better.

Went to sleep 7:30pm with orders from exgf to call her if I got sicker.  I woke up at 10:30pm, sicker.

I called her, she insisted either she drives me to the emergency room or I call an ambulance. I say idk.

She came over.

11:00 she calls the ambulance.

She follows the ambulance to the hospital and gets to stay with me in the room. It's a huge room. I had every kind of drug, still in intense pain, kinda embarrassing, she had to keep telling me to breathe because apparently they gave me too much and my oxygen levels were dropping. I was in and out of consiousness from the pain.

They finally gave me something that works at 1:30 am Saturday. Antibiotics x4 and Toradol. Pain at a 4.

Exgf stays with me. They take me for CT scan and realized it's serious.

They schedule me for first surgery.

The procedure is 2 hours.

I wake up at 11:30 Saturday. Observation till 6pm, exgf drives me home.

Stays at my house.

Sunday everyone is over, doting.

This morning exgf is over, refuses to let me work at all, has to work herself, leaves younger sister with me. 🙄

I'm being babysat because there is a few percent chance of severe complications for 48 hours or so. Still they didn't want to keep me in the hospital??

Anyway, feel fine, bloated, tired, not taking any pain meds bc no pain.

This is a classic.
If you don't enter a hospital with a sickness, you get it there.
Host's father got the flu during a hospital checkup some months ago. They also had Norovirus and Legionellas in offer but luckily he didn't contract those. A lot of old people die from diseases contracted in hospital. Either some multiresistant bacteria that lead to pneumonia or sepsis or viral infections. The latter give you a higher chance of survival so consider yourself 'lucky'.

Now get some rest and let your girls spoil you!

Nope, I'm quarantined now. They brought me food, made me bread and scattered to the winds. It's peaceful, it's how I like to be. I am not working my day job, so that's 40 hours off my plate, but my home business has the insidious property of being able to absorb time against all orders.

 

Work is work, there's no stopping it.

Takamuwu, you haven't been paying attention but that's okay, I can set you straight.

Bear has a STEM day job but he also has a home business that he works with his business partner 50/50 and several others who work part time to full time with him, the same 4 that are involved with him and the resort they go to the last 3 years, exgf, exgf sister, bestiemom, the narcissist, and his business partner (all women). He personally makes about the same from his STEM and the amount he's paid in the personal business. Of them all, he would say his business partner is mist important but his customers say he is hands down. Without him, the business would continue but it would definitely lose the magic that makes it fun.

He also does what he calls side hustles in the last few summers, this year he's probably not going to because along with his kitchen, he did one where it took him 10 months and that's just too much.

Joy's work is just how Bear system has fun. Bear doesn't go on vacation or take a day off, he feels awful when he does, it's just the way he is. Give him 2 hours unassigned and he becomes incredibly bored. Workaholic? Not really, he just feels the sense of urgency. He wants to be self-sufficient if he ever lost his jobs. It's probably there so now it's a matter of quality of life if things turn south.

Writing, DnD, single player casual games, working out, that's what he does for fun, that's now what we do and think about constantly and we've never been happier.

He also has plans for the garden and his truck, but that's not really "for fun" more like for a sense of accomplishment or for other reasons.

He's been hustling non-stop since 2014 or so, since college really, he got two masters while working full time, he enjoys his life, it's been a long haul and he's come a long way.

In terms of the future, he has already fulfilled everything he wanted to do. He never wanted kids and marriage would have to work for him, not the other way around so that's really just achievement hunting and not something he cares about. Ask again in 5 years.

When we got the flu the only effect were strange blood pressure drops that led to similar slo-mo falls and feeling terribly nauseous. Host wwas the same and didn't wanna rest but after some yelling he listened to me. It went away after a few days.
