I believe I do have a means for magic users to learn spells but it must be a spell you are capable of casting. I think other than cantrips, Yulya knows every spell she's ever going to learn unless she wants to give up being a peace cleric. If peace clerics were meant to know sleep then they would know it. In my opinion sleep sounds like something a peace cleric should know instead of anything doing necrotic damage but I didn't design the class and subclass.

In other words, no, but everything is a negotiation.

My interpretation of the rules for ball bearings and caltrops this time is:

Ball bearings were spread in a 10x10 area not a 10ft square area.
Caltrops were placed in a 5x5 area by the door.
Caltrops will do improvised damage to applicable enemies, that's 1d4 whenever entering a square that has them at normal speed and 2d4 dashing. Caltrops will not cause damage to certain enemies or those wearing certain gear. There was a DC15 intelligence check for perception to notice them in this area. This will not stop their movement.

Ball bearings have a DC10 chance to cause the enemies to fall prone per square if they move through them at normal or dash speed. Their speed becomes zero the rest of the turn.

Any enemy that sees them can warn the others if they are capable of speech and the others are capable of understanding.

Why didn't Ashley move Beatrice or summon another wasp? She's not exactly helpful up there. She could have potentially stung the bugbear as soon as he opened the door.

In essence she is waiting because of the noise her summons make, especially Nixie. In her mind, she wanted to possibly use the noise shock of Nixie against them once they're exposed, which I will consider.

Beatrice is in a position within striking range once the enemies are exposed. It was Ashley's opinion that sending the "buzzer girl" over now would be suicidal rather than a distraction.

[Ashley] look, we have initiative but to lure them into the trap we shouldn't pin them in, but you know, you guys do whatever. I'd like to see where we're at before I decide. Beatrice isn't exactly significant damage but might at least be a distraction. I'm still considering my options.

Round 0 she could have summoned or buffed Beatrice, and beause she didn't, I would allow a carry over into Round 1 as a reaction, though because she didn't explicitly state that, so instead if she acts before anyone else takes a turn then I'll allow it. Turn zero, everyone moved and performed an action except her so she can take her turn at any point as long as it occurs before she learns of any results from your turns in Round 1. It's fair that she learns what you were planning on doing as you all are in communication and strategic planning without her.

I hate to tell you but there's no strategic planning. No trap either. You're not left out because there's nothing. I know of no plan other than what's written here and that means running. Tamamo told you to bring over the wasp and summon another. You didn't. What else do you want?
Damn I should just have thrown a firebomb in there. Joy made the mistake of telling us there's 6 bugbears and 2 wofls with her rolls. How are we supposed to fight them? We have no AOE weapons now that firebombs are a big no-no. 2 arrows and one cantrip won't stop them and they can easily pass through the caltrops and ball bearings.

Also, since you all are so good, I had to age up the dragon. I wouldn't want the final boss of this  first campaign to be anticlimactic.
