Well, a 'live' bait certainly was more effective! It's still dangerous considering the snake is still out there! I doubt the octopus can take all attacks so let's reserve some of our powers for the snake as well as soon as it appears!

yeah I guess Yulya will go last if the octo survives Cats and Alices attacks.
question about INFLICT WOUNDS + Distant
spell says target must be a creature you can reach. so does that work with metamagic Distant or not? looks seriously op as a ranged spell boosted with the focus

It will work with distance Metamagic  it has to be a spell with a range including touch.

That's crazily strong!
Does it even make sense for me to grapple that thing? Even Mary Sue Chad octopus will have extremely slim survival chances beyond this round. I'd rather put everything into one spear- and 2 unarmed attacks than a 3rd grapple.

I can guess where this is going since I didn't grapple the octopus as required...

[In the midst of this intense attack, Yulya gets a vision, she foresees Ashley being awarded with her hero title for her bravery and selflessness after this and other similar brave if not foolhardy actions.]
Kids: Ashley, tell us about how you became a Hero!
Ashley: Well, you see, I tied a rope to a Panther and fed her to a giant octopus...

Now I understand how everyone got this title at Lv4. This world is full of bargain bin heroes. Cat at least protected her village. I wonder what you'll come up with for me. Actually I wanna get that title for barbecuing an owl - who stole my ship!

That would be Ashley now that she's in charge of leveling up. She's our Proctologist or whatever you call that.

Didn't expect to defeat the octopus this easily! The snake was to be expected, it's obvious Yulya should repeat the attack at lv3.

Ashley and the other cats took out half or so in one turn. Otherwise it would have been harder.

yeah my fault Yulya said I should write about giving it a 2nd shot if the first missed but i thought that was overkill. messing with the tupper game again im a bad host...
we cant have Alice eaten she has all our money. getting it out of that snake would be a pain in the ass.

You can't "boost to level 3" you can "use the focus for an illegal 3.75"

UOS the latter will be the interpretation.

Underlings of Primus, the previous ruler of Mechanus, but Mechanus' ruler was slain by the archdemon Orcus, the same who intruded on Freya's leveling. So time/date stamps after that event do not include Primus. The planes don't keep synchronous time with the material plane, so you can still interact with Primus if you enter at a temporal location prior in time-space to the battle with Orcus. The Monodrones are mostly neutral, intelligent, autonomous mechanical beings. Nowhere near the complexity of the mechatherial beasts and beings though. Mechatherial beings compared to the Monodrones are like comparing a Lamborghini Revuelto to the Ford Model A
