But doesn't staying here equally risk an encounter with bulettes?
I've got a new plan. If the skull comes up' I'mma gonna grab him and dunk him into the dwarven ale. Let's see how he likes that and if he can shoot flames from underwater , Imean -ale. I guess he's less tough than he pretends. It's a spellcaster and spellcasters are usually weak. He even kept a distance from me so I would not engage him in melee. I say we do what we always do. Move out of the line of fire and if he comes up, we'll see how much of a beating he can take. It sucks not having Ashley's summons but that's how it is.

Since he's literally on fire, you will take fire damage if you grapple him. Excuse me, I mean they/them skullself etc. Reminder: You have 12HP.

Ok, no point in stalling. Cat will go first.

Noo, not the ale!
I hope this sacrifice is worth it. Well better than burning I guess.

I expected more from the ale....
So the fire sphere is permanent? That means we can't pass it and it may even chase us. Not good. I have nothing except more firebombs. Can Yulya cancel it?

If you would research anything then you would know. It's called Fire Sphere, it's a sevond level conjuration spell.

How is Alice supposed to research anything? I'm an alien trapped in a mine. I have no idea about magic or this world's monsters. Nada. Have you forgotten I've got the Outsider anti-feat? Thus I am not allowed to read up anything. It's way more fun like this.

I'd further question if a shut-in hermit like Yulya knows about any non-cleric spells. In fact Cat is the only party member with significant life-experience in this world. You should not tell us anything we are unlikely to know or cannot find out by investigation.

Anyway, for my host's sake I've got to announce a short break from Valentine's day Feb 14th until Wed 18th. A good opportunity to strategize. I will pop in, probably, but pls no advancing the game.

If Alice isn't supposed to research anything then how can I answer any questions either? You are asking direct questions that if I answered then you would "know".

i think its about what the girls can perceive. the dm tells us what we can see. is the sphere permanent or a one time effect? does it move? i guess the question if Yulya can cancel it was for Yulya not the dm. but to keep things simple i suggest you make a roll or simply tell us if we know a monster spell or other effect. whoever knows it can look it up but not the others. i guess that means only Cat and Yulya who were born into this world. but we also prefer surprises and right from the beginning Yulya forbid me to read any of the dnd books. i agree its much more fun having no idea whats happening. i see no reason why Yulya should know about the magic of some high level ancient undead. but you tell us.

so to answer it we know of no way for Yulya to do anything here with her 1mp. but we will give it more thought.
