I guess something weird will happen with every use of the focus. I suggest Yulya uses Heroism on Cat this turn. Also he probably has high WIS so don't Toll the Dead him!
Since I guess I'm still charmed (he didn't lose concentration or it wasn't required), I can't attack him. But does that also mean I can't search and strip him of any magical items he's still carrying? I just like him so much I wanna see him naked!
Otherwise all I can do is shoot the bugbear.

that would be interesting. Alice searching ans stripping Nezzner of magical tools would help but I doubt charmed allows that.

I am rolling your charmed condition but your intelligence is so low and at a disadvantage by design that it's a very small chance you will ever be free. Also you will become apathetic due to his passing.

You could search him but you cannot remove magic items outside of specific conditions. If the user is dead, or willing or if the timing is right, like at sunrise or full moon or whatever the conditions state. For example you couldn't remove a magic ring, but you can cut the finger off and take the ring. I highly recommend it.

In the process of stripping him, Cat would lose her grip.

How can I cut off his fingers if I'm charmed? I can't do anything that outright harms him. And the condition doesn't even end when the caster is dead? Then it would take me until reaching LV10 to break that spell when I get my old form back and be immune to psycho tricks. Irrelevant now.

It appears nobody (except Cat) really wants to attack Nezzner. I'm charmed and Yulya has moral concerns. That leaves M3gan and Cat. How can I be heroic like that? I'll go full Yulya and shove the responsibility on someone else as well. I'll shoot the bugbear with a poison arrow.

The condition ends after a long rest regardless. No you can't harm him until you pass the save or long rest but every 6 seconds you have a small chance to break out of it.

Heroism isn't prescriptive it's descriptive.

Sorry, host fell asleep yesterday. It was a loli-intense day...

So anyway, if magical rings can be removed by cutting off fingers, what keeps me from doing the same with the badger ring?
Imagine after 2 uses in the morning the battle ends. I have 1HP and one use of the ring left. If I go down, I'm out for the rest of the day. If I or someone else cuts off the finger with the ring I may go down from losing 1HP, but I can simply be healed by Yulya and continue. The finger regrows when I re-shape myself anyway. If you wanna prevent this, I strongly suggest leaving the ring in the lolibank where it belongs.

You might have me in a technicality, but cutting off a finger is 1d4 damage but the moment you put it in the lolibank it will end up on another finger with its current charge.

I'm not trying to be difficult, but why does it have to be on my finger to begin with? Because the scripted event states an enemy will cut it off? I thought you wanted the ring to be stuck on me. Well then I'll reserve the option to cut it off myself. Even if it's 4 DMG, that's irrelevant compared to being out for a day. I can even heal myself for 1D6 with Hand of Healing if I have Ki points before doing that. Thus I can use the ring safely twice and then remove it for 1D4 DMG penalty. Or use it 3 times and be out until the next day. That correct so far? It's clear that the ring goes into effect with the same charge if I swallow or put it on again immediately, but why would I do that?

If you have a finger, then the ring wants to be on a finger. The ring of the Badger in particular contains the soul of a creature that has limited volition.

>that's irrelevant compared to being out for a day. Thus I can use the ring safely twice and then remove it for 1D4 DMG penalty.

You are correct. This is what we have determined.

>why would I do that?

You do and propose a lot of things historically that made no logical or practical sense. I am not here to predict your actions only to guide them as a benevolent DM.

Fair enough!
But I shot the bugbear, not the ghoul!
As soon as the bugbear chasing her is in view, Alice shoots a blast-component poisoned arrow at him in an attempt to put the poor creature out of its misery.

Irrelevant, it was a miss

Oh right, I almost forgot...

shouldn't Cat gain temp hp from heroism at the start of her turn? Cat dont forget to give your temp hp. give em to Alice!

Don't forget.

Heroism +5 THP each turn for 1 minute. I'm allowing Cat to forget because it's her job, if she forgets, no THP from her.

in case youre suggesting Yulya should cut off Nezzers fingers with the rings - no way. first bc Yulya as a tupper doesnt wanna mutilate people and second bc shes playing a peace cleric. she cant just kill or torture humanoids who pose no immediate threat. shes not a 'pacifist like Ashley and will do what is necessary in an emergency but there are limits and this is beyond what peace clerics should do.
