Title: SPORTS
Post by: Minty on September 30, 2013, 09:32:38 PM
This thread is a place where tulpae and tulpamancer alike can discuss their favorite sports to watch and/or play

For me, the only sport I really follow is soccer. I love soccer. I always have loved soccer, and I always will love soccer. Me and my host share many favorite teams, and we watch games together quite often/

My favorite teams are Everton FC and Celtic FC now.

Anyway, I'm interested to hear what sports you guys are into.

And I'm seriously hoping there aren't any Rangers FC or Liverpool fans on this website

Soccer would be mine too. However, I don't watch the game, never cared to watch others play it. I'd have rather played myself.

Tulpae is still a nonsense word that means nothing.

Also >implying I am into sports. Come on, I gotta keep my flabby figure. Watching is even worse. Buuuut I guess swimming might be my thing, I like water. My swimming just can't be called a sport.

Like the magnificent whale...

The only sports I enjoy watching are snow sports. The Winter X Games are the most badass things to exist ever. I wish I didn't fall on my face all the time snowboarding, otherwise I would enjoy it a lot more.

Watching sports is a big no for me, I can't see how it can stay interesting for more than 10 minutes at a time.
Especially football (or soccer for you murkans), even though in Italy everyone loves football.

Most people who watch sports obsessively like that (To the point of rioting, whether their team wins or loses.) usually do so because it's a pride thing. They project themselves onto "their" team to the point that they feel that they're actually involved in it. "They're representing me and my people." Winning means you're the best, and I suppose some people fall pretty hard to being second.

OH BOY! SPORTS!
I used to play water polo, which is like handball in the water, mixed with some MMA when the ref looks the other way. I quit it recently, since my new school is right next to the Gym and a pool, so now I go swimming every day after school.
I have also played football, I did some gymnastics, I tried motorsports, archery, shooting, freediving, wrestling, and some other things.

I still enjoy playing waterpolo I guess, but I cant stand watching it. Its no fun to not be able to play it. I still enjoy shooting, but I cant do any more motorsports because an injury that occurred.

I play Ultimate Frisbee at my high School. Tennis during the spring. And I used to do track during the winter.
Never watch sports though.

I've heard interesting things about Ultimate. Tennis is fun. At least it was back in elementary school. I don't think I'm fit enough to keep up at this point.

Never had such a luxury. I only originally heard about it from here (http://www.marksdailyapple.com/ultimate-frisbee/). I have a friend over on the West coast who plays as well, though I don't think I was ever quite interested playing it myself.

Not enough sports, but I do like the sound of this helmet touch.
