You're just not allowed to post links on your first post as that's the thing that will stop most of the spammers we've had this far, so right now you could fix the link and it should be working as you have 1 real post under your belt.

I have no idea what's happening in that picture. Or what it even is. These lines, how do they work.

Right, it's obvious that you guys want to continue this, but this thread isn't the right place for it. Please, don't respond here, if you think you want to respond yet again, send me a PM so I know I should move the posts to a new thread made for you. Title ideas are welcome, right now it looks like Relationships and Behavior.

Edit: And move I did. New thread for the previous topic, feel free to continue it there and let's keep this one as a tupper diary, yeah?

A guest with the name AventeeButh made this lovely spampost that did absolutely nothing seeing that there is no link. But, searching around, the IP matches that of known spammers, so the IP has been banned.

Well, not that I don't enjoy debates and such, and while helping others to realize things one way or another is a really good thing, this isn't a personal blog but one for tulpas. A little bit of something else is always fine, but right now I feel like the topic is quickly moving away from what it should be. I require more tupper progress to feed my hunger.

You can continue the conversation of course, but I'd suggest doing that somewhere else, if you want to. Like say, Off-Topic. I can move posts around if you think the thread would be easier to follow if it had everything in it.

General Discussion / Re: Tulpa Taste
« on: January 09, 2014, 06:36:00 AM »
Well, do remember that their form isn't "real" and pain doesn't necessarily have to be something they feel. No pain+bite=SCIENCE, no suffering. But doesn't really stop the host or the tupper from feeling weirded out, though.

I feel that this is an imagination practice rather than the outcome of forcing. Taste is a sense many forcers ignore, so this is a good way to make your imagination actually work out something. You're not trying to force them to taste like anything, you're just trying to taste how it tastes in your mind. And you can certainly be surprised. So it's a little interesting thing.

Is it truly possible for a personality to be entirely separate from the form/looks(be it a physical body or an imaginary one), voice, and other characteristics other people can perceive? It seems to me that a person may either try to mold their appearances to match their personality or mold their personality to match their appearances and it's rare for them to be in a complete mismatch. Even if that weren't possible, I would think an entirely formless person without a voice or body to identify with would have a harder time acquiring a personality than one which is embodied (even if we're talking about a virtual body like a tulpa's form).

Yes.

Don't mind me Enny, taking over your diary thing.

Well, bodies go every way. Very feminine men (with boobs) and very masculine chicks. And the personality is something that makes a person, niceness really doesn't have much to do with what they have between their legs. A man often is expected to act in a very competitive way while a woman is urged to be nurturing. But still, how someone treats you or acts towards you doesn't mean that's who they really are, many people put up an act for one reason or another.

And there's always exceptions.

Questions and Answers / Re: New here

Indeed, there's not really any right or wrong way to do this. People have made tulpas using many different methods. You won't know if something will help you before you try it. Not everything someone says will work will work and sometimes a thing everyone says is bad is actually the best method you have ever tried.

Making a tulpa is a very personal journey and there's really not much we really know about tulpas. The answer to "is it my tulpa" is "maybe", you need to feel it for yourself, but there is no need to say it is or isn't when you don't have enough to make up any kind of valid decision. The answer to "is it alright to do this or that" is "how does doing make you feel, do you think it works or is helpful".

If it feels like it's bad, stupid or not helpful - or even harmful in your eyes - don't do it. You tried it, it didn't feel fine, stop it. But if something feels like it's very helpful and even if others say it's a stupid thing, keep doing it if you want to. Making tulpas is all about getting the right mindset and finding your own way. The rest of us can only tell you what helped us or give out tips we have heard helping others. There's no guarantee they will work for you.

So, don't worry. Keep at it if it feels like it's working, listen to any possible responses you think you might be getting. It might be your tulpa or it might not. But keeping an ear out without deciding if it's a real response or not is a very healthy mindset early on. I wrote about it here a bit more, maybe it is worth a read.

Oh, and you might want to think of giving this thread another title. One that actually describes your problem, so in case anyone else has the same problem as you, they will be able to easily find the thread and read the responses. Let's make the Q&A part of the forum easy to use for everyone, eh?
