Overwhelmed and confused Yulya is unable to act and is dragged along with Alice. Everyone is piled up behind the gate with Yulya northernmost.
As Yulya needs to dash to get there she finds no time to forge another Emboldening Bond.

W-what do we do now?
Alice what did happen down there?

Yulya anxiously stands behind Cat and tries to figure out what is going on.
Cat I hear Alice talk to someone. She seems excited. What is happening down there??

Yulya sees Ashley off wishing her good luck and kindly refuses Alices ale

Yulya sees something odd about the Eastern wall. She approaches and tries to touch the wall, the illusion protecting the area suddenly becomes clear and a passage leading down is shown.
There is a ladder leading down, it seems to be made for smaller humanoids to access, but it's large enough for passage by humans. Remnants of a hoist remain where heavy loads and a space just large enough for a minecart could be lifted up and down the shaft and placed on a rail, again the rails have all been removed in this room long ago. Yulya is certain there are no traps, the ladder seems to go down about 40ft to another room, barely lit by some unseen source which could be a torch or glowstone.
Yulya cant believe her eyes
How peculiar!
Who would cast such an illusion here? Surely not your average bandit or miner! There must be a spellcaster here. I wonder how long it has been up. Clearly they didnt want anyone to see this. But I doubt it was cast to distract bulettes. So this was made to fool - us? Of course this had to happen after Ashley left and despawned her summons!

Yulya steps back and first casts GUIDANCE on Cat then on Alice handing her the Ring of Dark Shadows before she goes down.
[If Yulya can only cast one guidance she will use it on Alice]

Yulya sighs with relief learning that the room is empty. She steps forward and searches for traps and other anomalies.

How strange!
Where could they have gone? There is no exit and we saw no footprints on the way down. Either they jumped into the elevator shaft or went down further with the elevator before we pulled it up. Or the bulettes got them. Or - do you think the skeletons was them? They looked ancient though...

Yulya takes a look at the inscriptions to determine how old they are and if the dwarvish ones are the same age.
Do you think dwarfs were also among them? This would complicate the matter.

She reads the warning about the bulette nest with a bitter laugh.
Thanks for telling us! I am still glad we investigated the matter and got out relatively unharmed. Leaving this matter unsolved does not sit right with my work ethics I must say...

If there is nothing odd to be found Yulya helps set up the tent to rest. She takes the ring from Ashley with a nod.
Ashley please get us the elevator! You are best suited for the job we are counting on you! Be careful! We will proceed as Alice has suggested and barricade us in here after you leave.

Yulya uses Emboldening Bond on Alice and Cat and stays behind Ashley.
I will save my last MP for now. I pray the enemies are not too numerous!

Yulyas face freezes over at the loud noise.

Let us retreat and wait for a short while so we get a minimal element of surprise. Maybe someone comes out to check what is going on? Then I shall cast Emboldening Bond and we will go in.
Yulya moves back N out of sight of the door and calls for the others to retreat.

Yulya takes back the ring with gratitude and puts it on. She whispers to Ashley
Do you want to take a look at the door? I doubt we could open it silently - if at all. But that is your specialty! Be careful though I would build some sort of trap or alarm system here if I were them! The only other way would be to dig through the bulette tunnel on the other side I guess. Not that I fancy making vibrations in a dead end tunnel leading directly to the bulette nest...

Yulya follows behind Alice into the tunnel leading south and searches the area for traps. If there are any that prevent going further she directs Alice to take the other tunnel south of the elevator. In any case she retreats to her current position at the end of her turn.

Ashley walks casually forward as she looks for more ore samples along the walls and ceiling.
"Yulya, if I spot something, will you fly up and get it?"
Yulya stares at Ashley and her carefree attitude with a mixture of disbelief and horror. Dark memories from the last time she flew up and fetched something for Ashley surface.

Uh... certainly but I would prefer to secure this level first. I can only use this transformation once per day and it allows me to stay clear of bulettes. They should not be able to sense me while I am flying. The ore samples will not run away!

Yulya signals Alice to advance further East and moves 5ft east of Cats current position and again searched for traps that could lay ahead in the tunnel leading South and further East

Yulya goes to Cat's current position and signals her to advance.

Yulya moves further up behind Cat to see if she can help with her passive perception skills.

Yulya nervously moves 5ft N of Ashley.
I wonder if bulettes can break through the walls here, some must be quite thin! We must avoid going west in the big tunnel to alert them!

Yulya closes her eyes and imagines being chased through the tunnel by bulettes.
At least someone made us 2 traps to lure them into!

With nothing better to do Yulya casts Guidance on Cat to aid her.

The rumbling sound intensifies until it seems like there could be as many as 4 additional sources, then stops, a crunching sound echoes throughout the chamber then all is quite.
"Don't even think about going back up there, and count ourselves lucky if they don't follow. I'll tell them personally, assuming we ever see them again, that they need an exterminator."
Yulya catches her breath visibly shaken.
Oh dear who thought there would be hordes of such creatures! I am beginning to suspect Daniella was right. What are we doing here? We need an entire army to conquer this place! If it wasn't for Sir Mormesk I would have called it a day and retreated to Phandain to report...

Yulya I am keeping the ring for now so I an scout! I'll return it as soon as we're done exploring. So stay behind a bit with your tingling armor!
Yulya nods and whispers
Yes please continue to scout!
Yulya goes 5ft  south of Nixie She again relies on her perception to search the area for enemies and traps.

As so often Yulyas relief over defeating a monster doesnt last long. She signals Alice and Cat to retreat and dashes 60ft southeast
Im with you Ashley but I think these creatures can feel vibrations over great distances! I doubt we can move out of its detection range if another one surfaces!

Yulya casts Bane on the Bulette.
It saves against the spell.
Yulya shakes her head.
Nothing works today. At least nobody got a serious hit...

Yulya fumbles with her focus trying to refill it for a more potent attack.
Ashley do you think the skeletons will reanimate again if I use necrotic damage once more? I am still unsure whether this is good or bad...
