Off-Topic / Let's Experience Morrowind (With Many Images)
« on: December 02, 2014, 06:43:49 PM »

The Elder Scrolls III: Morrowind is, as one could assume, the third installment in the Elder Scrolls game series developed by Bethesda Game Studios and published by Bethesda Softworks and Ubisoft. The original game was released in early May in 2002, making it a rather old game. Just like in the later installments, it is an open world fantasy action roleplaying game where we will create our own character, choosing from multiple fantasy races and skills. We shall be exploring the volcanic island of Vvardenfell in the province of Morrowind, an area that is quite small compared to many other Elder Scrolls games. However, the entire island has been crafted by hand, meaning there are no randomly generated landscapes and exploring is quite worth it. Loved by many for the unique world and disliked by many for the outdated game mechanics, we are here to make our own judgment. Unfortunately there are no ragdoll physics.

I have not played the game personally, but I am with someone who has. While I will be experiencing many things for the first time and our memory is not perfect, I believe there will be many things I can show to you as you help us go through the game. Obviously, we will be playing the PC version. I would also like to ask you to not post spoilers, especially without spoiler tags. You can definitely suggest and talk about things I might have missed, but when it comes to actual plot points that have yet to happen, please wait until we actually get there.

We will be using both of the expansions, Tribunal and Bloodmoon, which add a lot more content and areas mostly meant to be explored after finishing the main quest. We also will not go in this unmodded. We will be using a mod called Morrowind Enhanced which will fix the rather atrocious combat system of the vanilla game. We will also be using certain mods that make the game look a bit better with plenty of new models, textures and a lot more grass and trees. Better Bodies will be changing all the humanoid NPC models to look a lot better than they did in the original game to avoid nightmares. There are also some other small mods that do not really change the game in any other way except add a bit more life to the world, such as Morrowind Comes AliveTable of Contents

Off-Topic / Minecraft Pictures (Many Images Warning)
« on: August 06, 2014, 06:51:52 PM »
Hello. I have been playing on a Minecraft multiplayer server recently and someone wanted to know what I was building, so I took pictures. It is done in creative and it's not completely finished yet. But I will show you what I have. It would be nice for you to share your creations with us, as well, haha.

This island used to just be that small sand hill that now has a fountain, haha. I made it bigger before adding a house.

I took a picture of the fire pit on the beach, because I could.

The yard is still a work in progress, so I didn't take pictures of it yet.

The front door and the view from the front door. It is a bit modern.

First look inside in both directions.

A small sitting room of some kind with a fireplace.

You can enter this porch from the previous room.

A dining room, kitchen and a pantry.

The view from the dining room if looking in another direction. There is the living room.

View from the living room. The glass garden area is right next to the living room. Another entrance to the pantry can also be seen, you can walk through it to the kitchen.

We can enter the central spiral staircase from many places, but here we went inside from the living room entrance. The doorway leads to a bathroom.

Heading further up the stairs, we come to a small library.

You can enter the balcony from the library room.

Upstairs into the second main floor.

View to the right once you exit the staircase.

There are games.

If we turn around and leave the pool table behind us, we can see this little room.

Coffee is important, apparently.

If we head to the right instead of left once we enter the second floor, we can see the bedroom.

There is also a bathroom connected to the bedroom. Room divider stops you from peeking in.

View from the throne.

I don't have anything else to show now, haha.

Off-Topic / Chat Thread

Hello.

I do not know many of you and not all of us come from the same place. There are many new faces and I would like to get to know you all better. And create all of you an opportunity to get to know our members a bit better as well, in case you rarely meet them outside this site. Seeing that we come from many different time zones, a place to talk that is not a real time chat might prove to be very good to us.

This is the everything goes thread. We are here to talk about our lives or anything we would like to share with the others. To help create an accepting community that is not just a clique of people who used to know each other, but one where everyone can easily join. Show us a side of yourself you can't usually show when posting in the other threads. Let us try to not fill this thread with many unpleasant things, so it does not get out of hand and become a thread no one would like to join.

I suppose I should start, then. I had wanted to post here earlier, but there wasn't enough time to do so. I am glad to be able to write here now, haha. I am hoping that I can have a donut tomorrow. Last time we went to the store, it was Sunday and very late. There were no donuts and it was quite unfortunate, but it happens. Today there is no need to go anywhere, so I am rooting for tomorrow.

We might be painting more soon. We don't have any equipment ourselves, but we got an excellent opportunity that involves things like that as well, so we will most likely be able to. Perhaps I should have a try at it myself too, haha. I have never tried.
