Well, I am...
Six cracked and splintered marble pillars line the walls of this hall. A nine-foot-tall statue of a dwarf seated on a throne, a mighty stone warhammer across his lap, occupies the north end. Large emeralds gleam in his eyes.And what exactly stopped me from climbing the statue so the bugbears can't reach me? If none of my actions have any impact on how the story progresses, at least don't waste my time by pretending I have 'different options' and just advance the scene. I spent hours working this out for nothing.
Dust and debris have been swept to one side of the floor. Half a dozen bedrolls and packs are neatly arranged around a rough-built firepit before the statue. A wooden table stands on the west side of the room between two pillars. (not shown)

Alice's incessant chattering is completely ignored by anyone in earshot, the bugbears either don't care or are incapable of turning on their master.
With frustration on their part, she slips past them and unleashes her secret weapon on Nezzer, making sure to also set the flammable bedrolls and packs around him on fire.
[DEX vs DC15 1d20+2=20]
Though her aim was true he deftly dodged the thrown bottle and was unaffected by the flames. [Shame, I had a nice picture of him on fire...] The bedrolls and packs are coated in accelerant and make for a good bonfire, bringing the room temperature up to a swealtering 36C.
In return for his invisibility fading he performs a use action on something in his hand, a short staff, something the size of a cane, he pulls from his jacket, it's oddly shaped like a Caduceus but with a spider on the tip instead of two serpents. Alice finds herself dodging something else in return.

A sticky web is shot from the staff and she easily dodges it.
He follows it up with a spell, his arcane words seem to pierce her mind in a peculiar way unlike anything she'd experienced before.

Alice becomes Charmed by Nezzer.
[A charmed creature can’t attack the charmer or target the charmer with harmful abilities or magical effects. The charmer has advantage on any ability check to interact socially with the creature. The effect lasts 1 hour unless the caster attacks or releases you. You are otherwise free to attack his subordinates.]
Satisfied that you're no longer a threat to him, he calls his minions, "there we are. Boys, she's all yours."
Temporarily confused, she manages to come to her senses enough to climb the statue, but bugbears are tall and have good reach, enough to swing at her anyway, so the two bugbears rush over and flank her to attack.
In D&D 5e, bugbears are large, muscular goblinoids typically standing between 6 and 8 feet tall (1.8–2.4 m) and weighing roughly 250–350 lbs. Standing reach is typically 1.33 times height which means they can reach the top of this 9ft statue and certainly with a weapon in hand.

Alice isn't so easily hit as they soon find out as his attack is redirected to his companion for 12 blunt damage.
Alice isn't able to do it twice however and takes the second hit. With her natural resistance to bludgeoning, she takes only 5HP damage.
Alice can hear the shuffling of a large creature outside the room, apparently the commotion or perhaps under Nezzer's direction, the Bulette has arrived but without hands, he can't open the doors to get through the stone double doorway.

Yulya is given 7 THP by Cat.
Cat forces herself to dash to the western image 2 with Feline Agility and attacks it with her claws using Nick.
Able to make it only 50ft given her injuries and carried the whole way with the momentum of feline agility, she does barely make it but she's forced to travel near the seemingly calm throne, though as she soon finds out, it's still able to arc within 20ft. The arc hits her as she passes.
[DEX vs DC15 1d20+1+1d4=15][DMG 8d6/2=17]
She narrowly escapes the brunt of the bolt but does still get shocked with enough energy to knock her down.
Cat is unconscious -5HP and is dying, her rage ends. [DEATH SAVNG THROW CON 1d20+3=8]
Yulya's certain that the energy of the throne is incompatible with mana pools for arcane magic, instead it seems to be more like the sphere Freya used or Ashley's crystal and able to channel energies from other planes of existence.
Seeing Cat unexpectedly fall to her injuries Yulya flies 5 ft E of the ghoul to avoid the arcing throne's range to get into attack range for the Eastern image. She still remains 10ft in the air. This time she casts Toll the Dead as Cantrip on image 5.

The bell tolls and it strikes true, the Eastern image fades.
The remaining image erupts in arcane energy, mustering large amounts of mana to cast a rather advanced and intricate spell. A blast of cold air erupts from her hands toward Yulya. She has cast Cone of Cold.
[CON vs DC15 1d20+3[A] (10,10)][DMG 8d8=39,46]
Yulya is enveloped in ice, this time no one saves her and even her magical vest is no use, the RNG gods have spoken, she takes the full brunt of the bitter wind and is chilled to the bone leaving her with the shivers and only 8HP! She won't survive much else.
The only consolation is that the Ghoul also takes the blast, and unable to save in his condition takes 46 damage and is nearly downed by the blast.
Before all hope is lost, Yulya sees M3gan return, she rushes to the caster's image and attacks easily able to dispell the image.
The true image of the caster is revealed, standing far south.
Using Action surge once again, she rushes southeast to the real caster and unleashes the true nature of a demigoddess on her.
Given AC12 M3gan's hits are guaranteed. She uses Charger and an ability called Slam Down, using both her two extra attacks, her third action surge and Nick with her bare fists, her foe is toppled.
[1d20+10+1+1+1d4=(10),(10),(CR),(CR),(10),(CR)][M3gan crits on 18-20][DMG 1d4+10+2+5+7d4+70+14=A LOT!]
Needless to say, she's not getting back up and her form slowly fades to another one of those reptilian, earless, beings. M3gan has nothing to sever the head or desecrate the body with.
M3gan brushes herself off and moves calmly but with adept speed to Cat, carrying her to Yulya encumbered, she sets her down at under Yulya's floating form and says, "I'll take care of this Ghoul, you take care of your friend."
Yulya gets the impression that the girls are safe for now and gets a mental download of what has transpired with Alice from what she knows, there is a sense of urgency, Alice is indeed still in danger.
[Apparently M3gan is pretty OP. She has three action surges per rest, three attacks per turn, and many other features though she has not been trained in this body in any weapons, she can still use her fists effectively with a +10 goddess' proficiency, is able to apply proficiency to her attack damage, +1 fighter's advantage, and another +1 feat, even with zero strength bonus she hits hard. She can be killed in this form and if the body dies with her occupying it, it will need to be revived properly like any corpse, Ashley will be the one coming back at that point.]

I can now finally set everything on fire! This should prevent the guy from hiding again. He's either burning and smoking or - if he extinguishes the spell with water magic - dripping wet. I'll find him. Actually I don't even have to. I'll let the fire and smoke do the work for now.
A shame I probably can't convince the bugbears since nobody takes me seriously. Well, I tried to be nice! Going all out next round, gotta see where the fire spreads first!

Making chase, they stay on her heals.Alice desperately fumbles with the door as 2 huge bugbears approach her. She exhales with a sigh.
The door to this room is locked.
Oh, hello gentlemen! Very courteous of you to come to my aid, you didn't have to run! But since you are already here, would you please open this do-
Bugbear 2 catches her and attacks with his spiked mace.Alice nimbly evades the strike and looks at him with disappointment.
By a miracle of the dice, she is also spared and he misses.
Hey now, weren't you listening? I'm not the bad guy here!
M3gan rushes with unnatural speed and makes it to the room by dashing in one turn, she sees Alice draw the attention of the two Bugbears. "Brilliant work!" Using action surge, she takes this opportunity to grab the girls, one in each arm, she heaves them over her shoulders then moves with heavy encumbrance out of the room.Alice gives her a thumbs up from between the bugbears legs. Even with them blocking her view, Alice realizes the main obstacle holding her back - the girls - are now out of the way.

"YOU FOOLS! You fell for her inane ploy!" The voice is clear as day and betrays his position, he's simply cast invisibility, M3gan can see him clearly and simply takes his prizes right from under his nose with nothing he can do (this turn) to stop her, she's gone.Alice turns to the bugbears again.
See? He's even insulting you despite your hard work! He's looking down on you and your lives mean nothing to him! And...
Alice looks around before whispering to the bugbears
...do you reeeally wanna to be associated with some creepy old man who kidnaps young women to do indecent things to them - in public?? That's gross! He's a loser. He messed up. It's over for him!

Alice spends one Ki point on Step of the Wind (Disengage+Dash+Double Jump) and dashes through the bugbear's legs and towards Nezzer's position. With a happy smile, Alice takes her Kashtan-type firebomb, lights it and throws it at Nezzer from close range, making sure to also set the flammable bedrolls and packs around him on fire.

Alice again holds her breath and uses what is remaining of her 80ft movement to jump at and climb the dwarf statue making it hard for the bugbears to reach her. Before smoke fills the room, Alice again looks at the stone columns from her elevated position to check if there is any chance to collapse the ceiling by smashing one or two.
