Unable to hear from the explosion Yulya looks around nervously tries to determine if anything is approaching from above or behind.

Yulya shivers as she spots the undead. She notices with relief that her comrades do not blindly attack. Testing her newly obtained abilities Yulya uses Metamagic to combine Toll The Dead and Sacred Flame and casts it on the ghoul with her goblin staff before retreating 30 ft. Seeing that Alice tossesanother explosice she covers her ears to prevent further damage.

The rules say every foot of jump is a foot of movement, whether up or across. So climbing stairs is the same. If you have to jump up, that's movement. I would like to disagree because jumping is at least a dash move in terms of speed, but I don't want everyone jumping around to get extra movement for free.

Impossibru!

ok to be fair its still not easy (for Alice). if we assume the stairs cover 15ft on the map and rise 15ft going up would cost 30ft. Cat has her rope and hook but not attached. guess that takes an action to assemble. interesting question - if Cat moves 10ft  she can high jump 3+5str (8 ft) and reach 1.5x her height of 5.9 (8.9 ft). so she can reach almost 17 ft up. easily up to the platform and pull herself up shes ridiculously strong. how much movement costs this?

On this platform, raised 15 feet above the level 2 floor

If you don't read the posts, then that's additionally worse than being German.

Unless you have some kind of special movement, 1 foot rise costs 1 foot of movement.

Mr. Bigglesworth runs at them with a burst of speed, but since they had initiative, realizing they've been spotted, they call out with a raspy yell of warning but are unable to escape the approaching suicide bomber. He attacks with claw as part of his normal move just before the climax.
Alice salutes the brave cat storming to his demise

The explosives were somewhat new, made by the Rockseekers within the season, luckily for you they hadn't lost any of their potency as a result and make for a spectacular explosion.
The ground shakes as the shockwave spreads, kicking up dust and reverberating off the walls. The sound is deafening, everyone has gained DEAFENED 3 and will be unable to hear for three rounds.
Alice can't see what's going on and is surprised by the explosion which makes her body wobble like pudding
Haha, ow, that was loud! I hope we got'em! You alright, Cat?

Mrs. Bigglesworth stays back awaiting further orders. Given the commotion, the third Ghoul gains initiative due to the shock of the blast on you all and Dashes North, eager to see who's been playing with explosives, he peers over the platform down at you with a wide grin on his face.
Alice waves at the unexpectedly handsome ghoul with an equally bright grin before lighting up the explosive stick she is carrying and throws it at the creature. Unable an unwilling to hear any objections, there's no stopping her.
Hi there! My, what nice ears you have! I hope they don't get blown off!

Then Alice retreats back N 40ft and signals the others to follow

I said it's fine.
But if you insist - nobody lit his fuse. Doing so before knowing where and how far the enemy is seemed counter-productive. I don't even know how far a Bigglesworth could run in a turn. I don't think he could have reached the ghouls if they hadn't moved. But waiting a turn and moving up to the platform together would have ended in a cat-astrophe with the ghouls closing in on us.

Soo...
I have to bother you again as I have no idea how high the platform is. I count 9 steps. If a step is about 1ft that would be ~10ft. What movement does it cost to go up the stairs?

Anyway, we should not be stupid and run up there to engage that guy. The other 2 will attack us. We gotta retreat N after a ranged attack. I throw the dynamite, Cat shoots an arrow, Yulya uses Toll the Dead. Even if he jumps down, he should not be able to reach us if we retreat 30ft. Mrs. Bigglesworth could attack and prevent him from approaching us without provoking an opportunity attack - or having to waste an action to disengage.

Yes I need to know so I can throw my dynamite stick at him!

I feel like 3 rounds happened in one here but I don't wanna be the stereotypical German and complain all the time. It's fine. Though I wanted to enjoy the explosion scene a bit more. I'm also a bit disappointed the explosion didn't take out a single ghoul. I guess Mrs. Bigglesworth will have to finish them off. Unless they're indeed Men of Iron they should not have a lot of HP left.

I can't help that you're German.

We're in round 1 now, what did you miss? Mr. Bigglesworth ran south and kaboom, did you need a slow motion several day play by play?
