I dreampt I was going in for a 7 hour surgery and I was dead tired. There was a doctor and someone else, a gay male nurse? He had this huge chemistry thermometer and said, "I want to be the one who checks the temperature."
It gets crazier.
I say, "I need to go to the bathroom" they look at me strange and then say go.
This hospital has no normal bathrooms, I find a geriatric ward and the room has rows of padded toilets with dirty pads, I pull the pad off, it's in front of everyone, there's another pad with poop on it, and another and another, dozens, so many I can't even find where the water hole is. I give up and ask a lady, she tells me to go ask Joan and Anna. I go into another room, an office of women, "I'm looking for Joan or Anna about a bathroom?"
"I'm Joan," the lady says, "but I don't know where any bathrooms are, Anna is over there."
Anna looks at me and behind her is a door without a handle, just a deadbolt. She opens it with a key and there's a toilet but it's too close to the door to sit on it and shut the door.
I pass, and look for another. I find another room with a swivel toilet right out in the open and an older woman asks me what I'm doing.
I say, "I'm about to go into a 7 hour surgery and the geriatric ward toilets didn't work. I start crying but I'm not sad."
She says, "oh I know you're worried about people targeting those going to surgery" (she's talking about the radical left as if having surgery is so privileged that they need to stop all surgeries.)
I say no, "I'm just worried about people". I have no idea why I said that.
She asks, "people in general?"
Then I wake up and realized I meant I was worried about surgery.
