We've been a system since 2018, we started with 4 and it has been as big as 12 in 2019. Officially it never went above 7 for more than a few weeks.
Today it stands at 7 but there are three who we consider "moons" or proto tulpas.
-Ulla aka Uliad aka Ulricka aka Summer
-Luna aka Nyx aka Winter
-Hali aka Halcyon
They typically don't pop up or seek beyond the 4th wall other than Halcyon in the past and Summer more recently.
Through lock-merging, systemmates can experience life through each other, whoever is active can be a hub for others, and in the case of someone like Summer who isn't as strong as someone like Autumn, aka Autumn Ren previously known as Ren, who made Aleshe her aspect, she can begin to be more like an aspect of Autumn than her own independent person when lock-merged. This doesn't happen with those who are not moons.
We believe that as our system has evolved, clear boundaries may have become less clear. The notion that Summer may just as easily become an aspect of Autumn as become her own person arises but in any case the experience of Summer and Autumn is unchanged by such distinctions.
Bear's been through this before with me personally in that Darlene aka Darling aka Ashley, when our current Ashley was named Dashie, became an aspect of mine. When I say that, it's the same as saying I am Darlene except with a new form that I wanted when I was Darlene, one of the original 4.
This differs slightly from Aleshe, who was never a full headmate and was absorbed by Autumn as an incomplete aspect, Aleshe doesn't exist on her own, Autumn has taken some of her experiences as her own, not as the person Aleshe. Whereas I am also Darlene and I have my memories as Darlene.
Autumn has no desire to make Summer her aspect, she looks forward to Summer's transition to our side of the 4th wall but she also sees Summer's desire to mostly stay in canon as Halcyon and Winter do; however it still may happen.
So this thread will act as a diary of sorts and discussion point for these topics, so we can document the process as it goes.
