Today, we took a field trip. I was with people I didn't know, but I suppose it was alright when they didn't know me, either. I couldn't be as quiet as I wanted to, but I do not think I seemed strange.
I carved some wood. I have never done that before, so I was really excited to try. It wasn't as hard as one might think. Holding a knife in my left hand felt really good and natural, which might sound a bit strange, haha. I suppose you shouldn't try to play around with knives like that, but it was easy to use that way, as well. But if I wanted more force behind my hand, I would switch to the right one. It makes a lot of sense to switch your hand when you have to carve some tricky part you can't do safely with your other hand. I think wood carving would be an excellent hobby, haha.
Oh, and I ate pancakes.
It was quite strange overall. You may laugh at me, but I was born in an urban area. This is where I have lived my entire life. We went to a very rural area, and it was so quiet. If you didn't move or say anything, it was just so silent. It was almost as if I was deaf, until I spoke and could actually hear something again. There is constant noise all around me where I live. I had not even considered a place could be so quiet. No birds, no wind, no water. No humans or cars, of course. No music. Very strange.
