I had a long, vivid future dream, a dystopian future where people lived in singlet studio dorms that were divided vertically so you get 3.5 ft ceilings, a small bedroom with no kitchen or bathroom, the door in was 2ft x 2ft, greatly limiting what you could bring in. There was no entrance to the livibg area without a temporary physical entrance card after you were verified, no one was allowed phones or computers in their rooms, just a TV that had access to schedualed services. There were windows, one per room, and outside was a desolate natural landscape outside the provided housing.
The only privacy was that room but the windows didn't have coverings and it could view every inch of space. There wasn't even a closet, just a hexagonal shaped main room with a smaller room attached.
The food was kibble-like ultra processed snack-like universal dry food, and water. Even the food container was edible. The kibble was savory, meaty taste, the container was hard-tack-like sweet like a sugar cone or gingerbread.
I was visiting a friend and he was a monster more or less, completely unhinged, violent, definitely needed to be stripped of all privileges and monitored 24/7.
Then I went to another group of friends and watched a small portion of Cocomellon type propaganda laden, education-lite infotainment "movie" with no clear beginning or end, no plot, completely AI generated of course, random, but with a name and a theme that could crudely be distinguished from other scheduled shows. That was obviously meant for education, entertainment and consistency of control. Everyone was white.
What more could a useless, non-working dependant society of animals need? One step above cages. All services provided. It wasn't English, it was like remnants of English, like thick Scottish riddled with colloquialisms and pigeon.
The buildings were tall, dark grey skyscrapers with a double helix or helix-like repetition and what looked like a 100:1 height ratio, thin and tall.
It felt like we were at a high latitude, very cold outside the building. Since you owned nothing, you had to have very specific permission and be supplied clohing. You couldn't get out without that and if you did you would succumb to the elements.
I got a sense that the "food" suppressed sexual urges and left everyone child-like in their actions and desires. Why even have people at all? What were they doing? There was no one over 30ish so it could be that even age was controlled, culling after a certain aesthetic was no longer desired.
I got no sense that these people, including me, did anything but play games or watch "movies", socialize physically, constantly eat, and sleep. No school, tightly controlled activities, no labor, no ownership other than a personal space and thin bedding.
The spaces were ventilated somehow, there was a common fresh odor. Just residents and guards that had a blank stare and zero aggression but a simple insistence, they were likely androids.
Outside the dorms were high ceilings, grand architecture, open spaces, with people in a large mall feel. There was no advertisement anywhere.
Quite a dream. Limbo-like existence.
