If I cared about death, wouldn't I care about the deaths going on in Russia and Ukraine? Shouldn't I care about the other 23,380 homicides in the last year in the US? That's 64/day. I read there were 140,000 black children missing in California in the last year. That's 25% of black children, 1 in 4 have gone missing. Granted 1% of those are actually kidnapped but that's still a lot, that's JUST the black ones who only make up 10% of the population. IN ONE YEAR?! Where does this statistic come from and how can it be believed? This would mean all the black children are missing in 4 years. This is impossible.

We get regular "active shooter" training in my day job and when I was first hired it was something like "run, hide, cooperate" when it came to the shooter or other ne'er-do-wells. I always personally felt this was stupid, and I was right. A few years ago they changed it to "find a weapon, run, hide if you can't run, and fight, do not cooperate."

I learned today that we were very close to having the U.S. travel advisory be classified as level 3, as it is we're level two for crime and terrorism. There are parts of the U.S. that are def. level 3-4 however, virtually any major city Ghetto, you will get ganked, but I couldn't find anything specifically.

Yes, actually my friend and his wife got permits recently but this will make you laugh, you can't carry even with a permit into any store without permission of the store owner or without a sign posted that allows it and being a strongly left state/city that's zero chance and can't carry within some distance to parks or schools or beaches, or on transportation, etc. So it's basically worthless. If there was an altercation anywhere you would have a chance to use it, you would then be arrested or fined for carrying in an exclusion zone.
