Minecraft Pictures (Many Images Warning)
« on: August 06, 2014, 06:51:52 PM »
Hello. I have been playing on a Minecraft multiplayer server recently and someone wanted to know what I was building, so I took pictures. It is done in creative and it's not completely finished yet. But I will show you what I have. It would be nice for you to share your creations with us, as well, haha.

This island used to just be that small sand hill that now has a fountain, haha. I made it bigger before adding a house.

I took a picture of the fire pit on the beach, because I could.

The yard is still a work in progress, so I didn't take pictures of it yet.

The front door and the view from the front door. It is a bit modern.

First look inside in both directions.

A small sitting room of some kind with a fireplace.

You can enter this porch from the previous room.

A dining room, kitchen and a pantry.

The view from the dining room if looking in another direction. There is the living room.

View from the living room. The glass garden area is right next to the living room. Another entrance to the pantry can also be seen, you can walk through it to the kitchen.

We can enter the central spiral staircase from many places, but here we went inside from the living room entrance. The doorway leads to a bathroom.

Heading further up the stairs, we come to a small library.

You can enter the balcony from the library room.

Upstairs into the second main floor.

View to the right once you exit the staircase.

There are games.

If we turn around and leave the pool table behind us, we can see this little room.

Coffee is important, apparently.

If we head to the right instead of left once we enter the second floor, we can see the bedroom.

There is also a bathroom connected to the bedroom. Room divider stops you from peeking in.

View from the throne.

I don't have anything else to show now, haha.

Can "Roswell-tier" be a rating for Minecraft builds?
That's probably the most beautiful house I've seen in the game.

Also, there should be a time when tuppers can get together and make some huge build.
Something beautiful and completely useless at the same time.
"Insane" is a just a word. There are no words for this.

I was building this underground city thing and found this zombie.  Dunno if this is common on minecraft but whatever.  I hope that Microsoft doesnt patch this, if it really is a glitch.

Also, is anyone aware of the ocean of farm animals?

Well we kinda have these times when I gotta do shit so >the horn can't play for some stretches of time. I think he was on a bit more recently than a couple of weeks though? No idea, implying I remember well enough.

How did 1.8 break the gameplay?
I haven't played much of it yet, but all I've really noticed so far is rabbits and mutton.

People have been having graphics issues, like a black screen with the HUD but not the world, the game not loading, among other things.

Oh yeah, and the pigs, chickens, and horses have learned how to breathe and breed in water and are now living in the ocean.  Guess its like the minecraft version of Happy Family.

Well, some things were added and the lighting system was changed.

For some, this meant improved performance. For many others, it meant a significant drop in FPS, even if still playable. For others it became downright unplayable because the frames drop to like 2 when you try to do something. People have connected the lag to water and most likely the new lighting system being funky with it, as removing water from a world makes the lag go away for the most part.

Hardware doesn't seem to matter all that much or at least people haven't noticed where the issue is yet. Some old computers play the game perfectly while some cutting edge new ones are now unplayable, so "get a new computer" might not even be the solution. And when everything was fine before the update, it's pretty safe to say it was the update that broke it. Especially when things changed radically.

tl;dr dat fps drop

Huh. When I first updated and started playing, I noticed some significant lag, but then I realized that, for some reason, the render distance was on maximum. Turning it down solved the issue, and I don't notice any more lag than before.
I sure hope the people experiencing this lag thought to check their settings.

Yeah, usually forced to play on the lowest possible to get anything out of it but removing water still tends to fix the lag issue, so I guess that's what has to be fixed.

You can't expect me to want to watch a person play blocks where it looks the same for days. That ocean trip was enough for me.

Also art wow.
