Lea and her no-longer-that-noobish host
« on: September 21, 2013, 07:50:56 AM »
Hello there, noobdreamer here.
I've already been working for almost 7 months, I started on 27th february 2013.
So here's a small tl;dr of what happened until now:
I've been forcing and she hasn't spoken yet, but recently I've been working more and harder because before I wasn't really doing much.
Teenage boy with a female tulpa, your average tulpamancer.

For someone that hasn't gotten anything back over 7 months and still trying, I give full kudos to you. Most people just give up after a week.
I'm sure you'll get a response if you keep trying.
Just keep working harder on her.
I think there's barely such a case as insta-tulpas, it's a rare when that sort of thing happens. If that truly happens good for you.
But tulpas are friends, not trophies with a made up story to impress people.

Uh, eyes looking on us.

I'll try to chase them away using Comic Sans.
Wait this isn't Comic Sans. Damn dark theme.

This is what I needed to prove that waffles is wrong. Dark theme best theme.

Ok, onto the actual tulpa diary side now.

I'm mostly working on visualization right now, since I really neglected that aspect (like pretty much everything else) during the first months and I've started to think it might be something that can help me.
I'm still a bit dependent on reference pictures, if I don't take a look every now and then the face tends to be blurred.

<--- And this is supposed to be my tulpas account as soon as she's vocal.

And I see now that comic sans isn't comic sans on the light theme either. wat.

I don't think it's exactly needed to post that information, Dreamer. Not to mention it's kind of iffy to post using someone else's account when they aren't even able to write themselves yet. I'm not against making an account for a non-vocal tupper though in my mind it would be much more polite to ask them if they even want one in the first place before making one, but posting and telling about it just seems unnecessary, you know?

Might want to not use her account. She's welcome to speak here when she's ready to do so.

Visualization is a good skill to have and practice. There's so much information you can get out of a non-vocal tupper by just looking at them. Little things count and there's so many communication methods you can use besides words. Using those non-verbal communication systems can be critical when it comes to getting vocal. In our case, it was definitely myself who had to learn to listen and if we didn't have other ways of communicating I trusted, I'm not sure if I would've bought the early words I got out of him.

Yeah I didn't really think much about it before posting, sorry ^^'
I wasn't planning on using the account for anything else anyway, so don't worry about that.

Also good to hear that visualization is indeed something useful, I'll be working on that!

Well, in the end, it's pretty personal as to what's useful and not. But I don't see it hurting and it could help a lot.

Comic Sans master race.

Yeah, I had to use reference pictures a lot back when I was rather new. My visualization has improved since then, and now I can see her almost clear without them. Just keep going and it should get easier.

I did a quick google search to see what exactly an egregore is, since I saw that term around here a few times, and I found this:
http://forums.vsociety.net/index.php?topic=10859.0;wap2

The part where it explains how to make a servitor (his definition of it, not ours) sounds like an interesting way to make a tulpa.
He (or maybe she?) also seems (I only skimmed it) to lay quite some importance on mastering visualization, "thought control", etc. before actually starting.
Maybe that's something we should encourage more here? Just an idea.

They're Wiccan terms, so you're going to bump into magick when you go look for more information. There's plenty of tulpa-like aound though, people just obviously have their own reasonings as to what they are.

Visualization isn't necessary of course and some people probably work better with something other than their sight, but I do find it very useful, especially early on when you're in that pre-vocal stage. For many other communities based around tupper-likes, imposition is super important too because it's a hallucination which makes them think it's real and magical and such. But thought control - assuming you mean the same I do - I really think you should be at least trying to get good at. I think that's what I have always been telling people to do and we did even remind people in the FAQ on this site that everything weird that happens in your head is your imagination and under your control.

I wouldn't say you have to master these things when starting tulpaforcing, though of course better skills help. But you can practice while you force, so it's two birds with one stone. Only if you find your skills completely lacking would I ever tell you to just work on bettering the skills without involving forcing to it as well, but normally, I think you get all the practice you need as you force.

Uuhhhhhhhh!
I'm pretty positive (sure is a bit of a big word here) that progress is being made!
When I started forcing today I felt that warm and fuzzy chest feeling again, Lea seemed to move quite independently (and dance!) and she appeared to be a lot more "solid" for lack of a better word.
Of course I'm not completely sure since it's just my fantasy and I could be making this up unconsciously, but it's great to see something coming out of it :D

If you can't believe, it's better to just avoid disbelief than to outright force yourself to believe. At least that's how I think. The "maybe it was, maybe it wasn't, but it's cool if it was" attitude is a healthy one.
