Yulya is taken by surprise and suffers a severe hit. She tumbles to the ground in pain, both exhausted and relieved the fight is over.

As Alice tends to her wound Yulya reflects on the battle
Yes I was reckless forgive this foolish cleric! I am very sorry Ashley I left you unguarded in front of the troll. This should not have happened. I must try to be more careful. We have gained considerable powers but we must use them wisely. We cannot keep up a fight like this for long. And our enemies are not only strong but also outnumber us by far!

Yulya is too exhausted to react to Alice's corpse desecration and while retreating north tries to fly as far as she can until her transformation ends and she has to walk through the deep now again. She just hopes Cat can set up a suitable resting place for the night.

Alice quickly leaves into the snowstorm with Cat to find a place for the night

As her rage wanes, Cat realizes they are in urgent need of a shelter. She seeks out a secluded place of deep and compact snow. Entering Rage again, she uses Primal Knowledge to boost her Survival skills. She takes out her shovel and starts building an igloo out of snow bricks. With the tent as floor liner.

[Sunday, Spring 23, 17:00, -8C, Snowing]

Throwing the head at it's maximum range, Cat is able to throw the head from behind cover. Alice yells to the wind at least 50ft from the wall behind cover with little or no chance of being heard in the din of the wind. The storm is intensifying.

Survival mini-game: you've rolled such that there's no easy, suitable location to rest for the night. So reasonably describe how you will survive the night, temperatures will be below -15C meaning no one can be exposed. The tent will protect as much as 5C, but that means the air in the tent will still be lower than -10C. The snow in the area is not compressed enough to provide suitable building blocks for a proper igloo. The trees have branches that extend to the ground and the ground is frozen. In an hour, the sun will be set and the temperature will drop below -10C, in two it will be below -15C. Exposure to the wind outside of combat will count as another -5C.

So you have roughly 45 minutes to accomplish settling down for the night in a stealthy location. The penalty for not having a reasonable, well hidden, and warm situation will be 1 level of exhaustion which means Yulya will have exhaustion 2 by the morning. I'd say 'good luck' but apparently you don't have good luck for this scenario.

With great worry, Cat realizes the snow is unsuitable for an igloo. An alternative is needed. Cat uses Primal Knowledge and analyzes the wind direction. She looks for a sheltered place between trees that is safe from being buried by snow, avalanches or falling rocks.

Nya we gotta improvise a bit Nya and work together Nya!
I will cut branches from nearby trees Nya Ashey Nya and Yulya Nya collect the fir boughs Nya and create a thick insulating layer on the ground here Nya! Put the softest boughs on top Nya we don't wanna damage the tent Nya. We will set up the tent on top of that layer Nya!
Then Alice Nya will build a wind break Nya between the trees and around the tent Nya from snow reinforced with branches Nya! We will build a simple slanted roof Nya from the trees over our tent Nya. We will use our pole and ladder as support Nya.

Cat looks for a stony depression downwind from the tent, close but distant enough to prevent embers from damaging the tent.
Alice Nya remove all snow from here Nya we'll make a fire pit Nya! Also surrounded by a snow ring covered with stones Nya! I will help you as soon as I have cut enough branches Nya! Then I'll collect rocks Nya. We will warm them around the fire Nya. They will both heat and dry the inside of the tent Nya. We will also make warm water from the snow NYa. you can fill it in your waterskins Nya.

So no igloo thing? I'd love to have seen this. It was nice under the snow!

Alice listens to Cat's instructions while glancing over to a basically useless Yulya looking exhausted and an utterly useless Ashley looking as bored and uncooperative as her summons.
Guess it's up to me then, huh? I'll do anything for a nice warm dry shelter! So let's get to work!

Alice races between Cat cutting down trees and the camping site carrying branches at full speed. Then she starts digging a fire pit with Cat's shovel
At least set up the tent while we work here!

Alice leaves building a roof over the tent to Cat and begins shoveling a snow wall around the camp, reinforced with more branches cut by Cat.
Here, take my rope! Might be useful to fasten the branches! Let' make this camp as big as we can. If we can't hide from the enemy we must look so intimidating that they'll think twice about attacking us! Whoever is on watch should continue reinforcing the structures! The work will help you from freezing too.

Seeing Cat's attempt to build a shelter fail Yulyas worries increase. She still decides to save her healing abilities in case an emergency occurs and tries her best to be helpful arranging twigs and setting up the tent.

Ashley's all thumbs when it comes to the bedding but she knows what to do in terms of survival. Dispite her best wishes the fire lights and Cat's plan continues though the smoke is blown towards the mine and will be sensed by anyone downwind. The light will also act as a becon for intelligent creatures though it will be a deterrant for creatures of INT of 7 or less. No one is equipped to watch under these conditions.

Just before dawn, with the fire cold and covered in a foot of snow, all but Yulya hear the crunching and sniffing of wild animals, thankfully you were all able to rest the night and are not exhausted, other than Yulya and not Apathetic, other than Alice. You will require another hour or so.

A pack of wild dogs have found you, starving and ready for anything they begin poking and attempting to find or make their way into the tent. They're digging at the snow covering you and will eventually make their way in at the expense of the tent. Because no one was watching they cannot be surprised.

Ashley can almost 'see' through the tent with her blindsight, she whispers, "There are 5 of them!"

A giant yellowish amoeba emerges from under a pile of clothes and grabs a goblin stink bomb. Alice isn't happy about the unwelcome guests and takes drastic actions. Opening the tent she hurls the stink bomb at the first dog and follows up with an unarmed strike + hand of harm.

Opening the tent Alice hurls the stink bomb at the first dog and follows up with an unarmed strike + hand of harm.

[Alice's aim on the dogs is true, the stink bomb breaks in their midst and dispite the strong blizard the dogs do suffer from the area attack.
[Because of their close proximity, they are all potentially effected but for only one turn (due to wind).][CON vs DC10 1d20+1=16,20,15,14,10]

Unfortunately none of the dogs are affected, and alice's subsequent attack fails to land, so all five dogs pile in and attack randomly.

Wild Dog 1 attacks Alice, and Cat is ready with Sentinal to defend her comrade, Wild Dog 2 attacks Ashley, Wild Dog 3 attacks Cat, Wild Dog 4 attacks Alice, and Wild Dog 5 attacks Ashley. [HIT vs AC13,11,16,13,11 1d20+3=(CM,5),(11,8),(16,11),(19,CM),(10,9)]

Wild Dog 1 attempts to bite Alice but she dodges his attack, Wild Dog 2 bites at Ashley and succeeds in hitting, Wild Dog 3 tries to bite Cat but can't get through her armor, Wild Dog 4 bites Alice successfully, and Wild Dog 5 just misses Ashley.

[DMG 1d6+1=7, 6 piercing damage] Ashley takes 7 damage, but Alice attempts to block the attack with Defelct Attack [DEFLECT 1d10+3+3=7] Alice redirects the damage to Wild Dog 3, Wild Dog 4 ends up biting Wild Dog 3, and manages to down the dog.

Cat's Sentinal ability kicks in once Wild Dog 2 bites Ashley and her reaction takes over. [HIT vs AC12 1d20+7=19][DMG 2d6+5=10] Wild Dog 2 is sliced open and perishes.

Now aware of the situation Yulya casts Bless on everyone.

Cat activates her Rage and gains temporal HP. After Alice she attacks any remaining dogs with her claws using Nick. Setting her sights on Wild Dog 1, and Wild Dog 5, she attacks with her dual claws. [HIT vs AC12 1d20+6+1d4=24,11,19] She manages to hit Wild Dog 1 with one claw and nicks Wild Dog 5. [DMG 1d6+4+2=7,10] Wild Dog 1 goes down with a whimper and Wild Dog 5 follows.

Ashley casts Summon Mechatherial Panther and with a near deafening pop, Nixie descends on the last Wild Dog. [HIT vs AC12 1d20+4+1d4=23][CON vs DC14 1d20+1=5][DMG 1d6+3=9] The last dog is quickly torn to shreads.

Nixie makes quick work of the rest to make sure they don't wake up. She then drags them all out and licks up the blood, then with a shiver she snuggles next to Ashley, licking her wound.

"close that tent door..." Ashley says then blinks Nixie away and tries to go back to sleep.

As far as the stink Bomb, the remnants have frozen to the ground and is already accumulating snow. You could butcher the dogs and save the hides if you wish, 5 wild dogs would provide 1gp per pelt they weigh 4lbs each, they would provide 45lbs of meat.]

Cat feels a bit of sympathy for the poor dogs and decides their death should not be in vain. She sets out to skin and butcher them to the best of her abilities with her Primal Knowledge. After this is done, Cat will hone her sword and then prepare a meal. It will be Hot dogs for breakfast.

Alice's mood has improved but then she notices Ashley's injury
Are you serious? You cant just go back to sleep like that! You wanna die from an infection? I know you're the toughest here but we can't let that untreated!

As Yulya prepares to heal the injured, Alice raises her hand.
Save your Mana and rest! My powers are returning and I can heal minor injuries now.

Alice gets her healer's kit and treats Ashley's wound. Grey metallic liquid accumulates on her palms as she touches Ashley with Hand of Healing. Then she uses her last Ki point to heal herself.
See?
It's not as fast and absurd as magic but it does the job.

Alice looks at Cat getting ready to butcher the dogs
Oh, can we eat them? I wanna taste that! I'll help you cook later! Save me two nice ears as well for my collection!

While Cat is busy butchering the dogs, Alice rests a little more, then hones her spear with the whetstone and then helps Cat prepare a meal.
So what do we do today?
Our attempt to ambush them yesterday failed. They know we're here and if they're not completely retarded, they will have made preparations. That's not good. I'm rarely out of absurd ideas but right now I am!

Yes that was not a good start though I admit we came here without a plan at all. We expected orcs and got well-organized bandits. We might have surprised them yesterday but I doubt this will work again. They are in a much better position we cannot lay siege on them. We must enter today and create a bridgehead where we can rest relatively safely.

Too bad Ashleys summons are so noisy. I would like to have a peek inside before we blindly storm that stronghold...
