Did you catch your dragon already Nya? We're also dragon hunting now Nya let's see who gets one first Nya oh you know Summer Nya?

The guard, after speaking to Summer, returns to your nyas, "Dragons can be quite illusive, but the most dangerous ones are not, only metallic dragons can shapeshift on their own, the most noble and beautiful, the silver, then gold, platinum, copper, bronze, brass, mercury, electrum, steel and others that are exceptions such as song dragons, for the most part are good. So I wouldn't even be concerned with 'catching' one, not all the guards agree that we should even try. Though gold dragons can be quite annoying at times, and copper dragons can be pranksters, they mean well, though the iron dragons could be evil, they typically aren't. Gem dragons mostly exist in the inner planes and abhor the petty wars mortals wage. The chromatic dragons, however, are evil, they're dull and feral, they'd rather kill on sight than shapeshift for any political or civil reason. Talking to them or trying to convince them to do as you will may work on a wyrmling, but if you see an adult chromatic dragon, it's kill or be killed, they don't bother to deceive anyone, they can't shapeshift typically, and their hedonistic appetite must be sated at all times. That 'snow' dragon Summer has concerned herself with is likely a white dragon, and though rumor has it that the climate has been affected by the dragon, I sincerely doubt the dragon alone is responsible. Now as for Summer, I wouldn't underestimate her abilities, and I wouldn't worry about her motives, but her methods and agendas are beyond me."

"Gold dragons are the most majestic, kind and beautiful of all dragons," Summer adds.

"Ha! Silver dragons are all that and longer lived, and more so because they avoid combat. Much more can be done in the comfort of a ready room than on the battlefield. So no, we haven't caught any nor will we, I find the whole matter ridiculous, it's a witch hunt where the witch has the upper hand."

Nyaa we only have veggie rations left Nya! Let us spice it up with some bread Nya and a piece of honeycomb as dessert Nya!
Yulya nods
Yes of course! We should celebrate our return tro Neverwinter accordingly! Please use the goods we acquired as you see fit!

Yulya shrinks and turns paler with every word of the guard and begins muttering to herself
Dragons - why must it be dragons? We can't kill an adult dragon thats impossible! Who do they think we are? Heroes or something? We are dead in the first seconds of such encounter! Even Alice if it is about cold and ice. We even struggle with a few bandits or goblins! Cant it just be convinced to go somewhere else? Where it is cold already? So everyone can be happy?

As Alice races off, Cat turns to Yulya
We should go to the guild Nya Alice will catch up with us later I guess Nya!
Yulya envies Alices carefree attitude but cant help to smile for a moment
Yes let us do that!
We need to tell Freya everything!

Cat listens to the dragon lecture with interest
Nyaa you know a lot about dragons Nya is this mandatory for guards Nya? And you're that close to Summer Nya? What a small world Nya...

Cat however has absolutely no interest in getting sucked into any noble affairs and retreats with a greeting, ignores Alice's nonsense and follows Yulya to the guild.

[Conversation with the guard]

Nyaa you know a lot about dragons Nya is this mandatory for guards Nya? And you're that close to Summer Nya? What a small world Nya...

The guard eyes you, "Dragons are noble creatures, wise well beyond the petty mortals of this realm, but those chromatic cousins are nothing more then a nuisance, besmirching the great name of dragonkin. If you are able to take out that usurper, you'll instantly gain the respect of any guard of any town and that includes me, Tabaxi." She then gives a signal for you to move along and enter.

Summer looks up at you and says with a twinkle in her eye, "It's just a white dragon." Happy with herself for alleviating all the stress and worry, she then excuses herself, "I regret that we must part for now, I have errands to run, I need a copy of my identification made, I have a letter for the Queen of Neverwinter, and I need to talk to Eltoora Sarptyl, the guild master of the Many-Starred Cloak in the Cloaktower, as I have an offer of a tome from Imaskar. I know she'll appreciate that as I need to borrow the ring of dragons and the amulet of draconic might. With those in conjunction with my own skills, that dragon will be quite distracted. Then I just need a few heroes..." She points at you all. "...to take him out. You know, slaying a dragon has many perks. First of all, you'll be able to be legitimately called 'dragonslayers', second, you'll be renowned and infamous in many circles and marked untouchable by petty lowlifes such as bandits and thieves because you'll get a special tag."

Her smile fades and she states, "I want one."

"I also need to track down my carriage, so we must part ways for now, but please do meet me in Phandalin after you take care of clearing out that mine of yours and I guarantee you'll be true heroes."

[Possible Interactions]

[Indeed this will count as your "heroic act" requirement for level 4 advancement and the proceeds from selling the various items associated with the dragon carcass will be more than enough to pay the 1000sp fee (each) to get the silver plates. Those plates will be special, once it's confirmed you aided in slaying a dragon, your plates will forever be indicative of that fact at a glance. This will give you certain clout and will help the main questlines. So I highly recommend it. Feel free to ask Brutus or his team if you want to know more about how to slay a dragon as they're the only other members of the guild you know who have 'dragonslayer' status. Also, the mine is located 7 miles Northeast of Phandalin. The crash site is 10 miles further Northeast from that.]

"My intuition is telling me it'll be difficult, but I want to do it." Ashley says to Yulya. "So let's level, then I want to get my trade license if I can and then we can sell the stuff for more tomorrow." [With a trade license, 20% is automatically added to anything sold at shops, so an item that is new quality will sell for .8x it's value instead of .6x and so on.]

With that settled you make your way back to the Adventurer's guild.

The beauty and majesty of Neverwinter never ceases to amaze, once inside the gate you can gaze out over the city, there in the distance is the castle, and the Cloaktower (the wizard's guild) amid temples, spires and buildings of nearly every shape and size. Even on Sunday the hustle and bustle of people going about their business is a stark contrast to the lonely roads of the Sword Coast.

Through the market and past the various shops, all but the inns closed for the day, you make it past the bulletin boards and familiar posters, you pass beggars and dirty children, free to loiter while the shops are closed, and take the turn to your second home, the Adventurer's Guild.

[13:00 Sunday, Spring 16th, Sunny, 18C]

The clocktower rings one o'clock as you step inside and are somewhat surprised to see it empty though it's not unexpected on a Sunday. You are greeted by Elizabeth, one of the hostesses of the guild.

"Welcome back adventurers! I remember you." She pulls a chair at one of the tables close to the kitchen and says, "sit, I have leftovers for you, if you're still hungry, on the house. Will you be needing lodgings tonight?"

"Thanks and hi, so um where's Freya?"

"She's off on personal matters but she'll be back tomorrow morning bright and early. You might catch her sooner, she'd never able to stay away even on her day off."

[You've made it to the guild without incident, what will you do next?]

Yulya frowns at this glorious and without doubt absolutely insane plan to take down a dragon, biting her lip. So it is either death or fame - but most likely death.
Yulya ponders what would be worse...
I am glad we could safely bring you to Neverwinter!
Will you be alright on your own? Not that I doubt your skills but regardless of that you are still a child and we dont want to be held responsibl... I mean we are worried about your safety! Take care!
You will find us at the guild!
Yulya says her farewell and proceeds to the guild with Ashley and Cat

"My intuition is telling me it'll be difficult, but I want to do it." Ashley says to Yulya.
Certainly what other choice do we have? We need to get Alice to her ship...

Greetings Miss Elizabeth!
I can report we returned safely though with an unfinished quest. We shall give our full report to Freya. A lot has happened.
We would gladly take your offer for a meal and request a room for the night!
Oh, one more thing - could we leave our belongings at the guild? We are packed to the brim.

Yulya turns to Ashley
Let us eat and take a short rest, then try our luck at the trade guild. There is not much to do so we shall accompany you.

Cat is momentarily overwhelmed by the scents and sounds of the city.
Nyaa I do not even know how it's on a busy day!

At the guild Cat greets Elizabeth hand gladly takes the offer for lunch.
Nya we gotta get some food for Alice Nya when she returns Nya!
I'm not much for running through a city, maybe I can make more rations if they let me borrow the kitchen Nya!

Summer smiles and winks, "See you in Phandalin," and is off in a flash.

Certainly what other choice do we have? We need to get Alice to her ship...

Ashley looks wistfully upwards and says softly to herself, "Ashley the Dragonslayer." When she looks back at you it's as if she didn't hear what you said.

[At the Guild]

Greetings Miss Elizabeth!
I can report we returned safely though with an unfinished quest. We shall give our full report to Freya. A lot has happened.
We would gladly take your offer for a meal and request a room for the night!

"Of course, your room will be 107 upstairs and I'll bring the meals shortly. We have a leftover stew and it's quite good if I do say so myself." [Elizabeth also has a cooking skill.]

Oh, one more thing - could we leave our belongings at the guild? We are packed to the brim.

"Yes, I believe almost everyone has some things stowed here already if I'm not mistaken. Just head into the back and add to the barrel you used or grab a new one." She smiles kindly, "I's always good to see our adventurers returned unharmed from their questing. Will you be needing leveling service as well?"

Nya we gotta get some food for Alice Nya when she returns Nya!

Elizabeth bows to Cat, "I'll bring 4 settings, just give me a few minutes."

I'm not much for running through a city, maybe I can make more rations if they let me borrow the kitchen Nya!

Elizabeth overhears Cat's question, "It's yours today, no one usually comes on Sunday when Freya's gone, not that I'm not wonderful company of course, but Freya... has a way with people that I lack."

[The next scene will be at the trade guild.]
