That took me a while to grasp. So he disengages from Yulya, moves 5ft NE or NW next to Cat. Then disengages from Cat and moves S into Yulya's reach again but doesn't leave it until he attacks her. Can a creature with the Disengage feat disengage from unlimited enemies per turn? Imagine they're lined up and you just walk by disengaging from them one after the other.

My interpretation is, the disengage is effective for the duration of the movement this turn.

"Disengage action allows you to move away from all enemies for the rest of your turn without provoking Opportunity Attacks, no matter how many enemies are around you, unless they have a special ability like the Sentinel feat (dealt with separately). The Disengage action's effect applies universally to your movement for the entire turn."

Your plan may work if he moves that way but he may not move that way.

1) Yulya circles the bugbear and gets S of him
ok

2) Alice moves to where Yulya was and attacks the bugbear pushing him 5ft SW onto ball bearings.

South West is down and to the left I can presume you mean North West but that would mean Alice needs to be South East of him. She can only push him South if she is North of him.

3)Yulya moves to the position indicated setting up a flank with Alice
4) Alice moves 5ft N and assists Cat without leaving his reach
5) Cat throws the net. disadvantage is negated by Alices help action

6) Yulya casts Toll the Dead in flank with Alice

My bear brain might be getting in the way but I'll do my best.

My Crusher feat explicitly states I can move an enemy 5ft into any unoccupied space I want not just straight away from me. If he gets his fancy Disengage-from-the-entire-World, I get my Push. Also there's no save from this. If the attacks hits, regardless of damage, he gets pushed to where I want. I have 2 unarmed strikes. If necessary I will use Flurry of blows. and hit him 3 times. One of those attacks will hit. If it takes 3 attempts, Cat will have to throw the net without my help.

It was not a push, it's a move, don't worry, I can read even with a Bear brain.

As for the result?...

>attacks and flurry of blows or harming hand

Your move has already been registered, you can't change it now. I won't accept any further edits prior to the published result unless there was a dire mistake on my end.

As far as this encounter, as your thoughtful and merciful DM, I must warn you that in your current state, TPK is the likely result unless you do something unorthodox. To be fair, you can blame Ashley for being too brave but honestly, this opponent needed a more careful and well thought out approach. This is good training as the Dragon won't be as forgiving, will have a lot more tricks, and will be even tougher.

I would have just had Alice throw it with her action instead of using it for help, it would have been a +3 instead of +1 and Cat could have shot an arrow though with disadvantage, but ok. Even though the Bugbear Commander is prone, and that would give advantage, advantage does not stack it can only cancel Cat's disadvantage, so additionally Alice could have had advantage and it would have succeeded easier.
I don't think so. Remember you ALWAYS have disadvantage when throwing a net. It's a shoot action with 5ft short 15ft long. Shooting within 5ft gives disadvantage. Long has disadvantage. There is no distance at which throwing an net has no disadvantage.  I researched that and apparently it's intended that way. That's why I asked about net proficiency beforehand. Cat is proficient (martial ranged weapon), I am not. So how could I have +3 and she +1?
That would be sort of important to know for further net uses.

>unorthodox
No matther how much you'd both love this we will not kill Ashley. On the contrary. The more you want it, the more I'll heal her.

Hmmm... still didn't need help then because if he was prone, that advantage negates all disadvantages since they don't stack. So you could have done it or she could have done it without your help, still better if you just did it.

Using a weapon without Proficiency simply means you don't add your proficiency bonus, which is a wash with Cat's lower dexterity.

I have a typo there, it was 17 with her +1 and proficiency.

>heal her

Looks like your options ran out, it's up to Cat to decide and I know for a fact her God wouldn't care at all and would applaud her for prudent measures.

Maybe it's my Bernd brain, but can you pleease break down the roll of Cat vs. my net throw? I still don't get how I could have scored higher.

I agree we were to careless in our approach, and by 'we' I of course mean mostly Ashley this time. Whatever. We will manage. I still have a few aces up my sleeves and by aces I mean
firebombs

Also remember we don't even know about Ashley's resurrection shenanigans. If she had clearly communicated she wants us to do that in certain situations ok maybe, but not like this.

At this point you are correct, it is a wash, but you did waste an action to guarantee it was without disadvantage but that's reasonable.

If you firebomb then there is a chance it does next to nothing except set the mine on fire and give a huge middle finger to the rockseekers and Phandalin.

Also, the Cat god when Cat kills Ashley:
