Regarding proficiency I am thinking about Stealth of Perception - if I do not have this yet. I apologize for this level of disorganization we really need to make proper character sheets when we are level 4.

Metamagic is fun, if just for that reason then it's great. One on particular isn't in Tasha's list but ot allows you to mix two spells which can a blast. Keep in mind that any mundane chages you make are at no penalty but crazy ideas will have a chance of unexpected results. I have to look up the name but it vastly increases your spellcasting options.

Warcaster is another good one. Right now you autofail your concentration if hit, warcaster changes that.

I would consider taking both feats and only 1 point toward ability scores.

Word of Radiance would be great, there is an upgrade feat that turns this spell into a broken mess:

Metamagic modifier "Distance Spell" extends the reach of a spell 30ft, you could then target all creatures within 35ft (not 10, 5ft is basically touch) which is like an AOE but selective. So get that and another good one is quickened spell which moves one spell as a bonus action so you can cast twice.

I have to research this but I think you would need sorcerer points for this. It looks like you only get 2, and they replenish per long rest but I'd easily say you can gain one or both back per hour of rest.

I would also consider giving you the same number of points a sorcerer would get. 4 at level 4.

Peace Cleric War Caster sounds a bit obscene but it's a good pick! I also say get both, you've already maxed out WIS I think.

Also Yulya's right, It's at least necessary to offer the found cash out of politeness. Also that's a chest full of German Euro coins in your pic! Truly ancient long forgotten currency.

Imaging thousands of years in the future and they're using German Euro coins.

Truly a nightmare.

Hey, can we use that poison cylinder from the chest? Maybe we can make a trap with it to prevent people from entering the mine.

Your current funds:
670   COPPER
820   SILVER
103   ELECTRUM
138   GOLD
15   PLATINUM

and 61 gp worth of mithril dust.

Obviously we'll keep the mithril dust. As we're commies without personal possessions, we can simply take 3000 silver equivalents from that. Professor Alice calculates:
15 pp =    1500 sp
103 ep =    515 sp
718 sp =    718 sp
670 cp =      67 sp
2 agates = 200 sp
_______________
Sum:      3000 sp

That should leave us with:
138 gp
102 sp

>poison cylinder

M3gan removed it from the chest but it should still function given the right mechanism, this will require a skill check, and will have a high DC. You certainly can but it has a range of only 2.5ft, so directionally 90 degrees from the center of a square to something really close to it.

M3gan is a master level in invention and crafting mechanisms, her design is almost guaranteed to work, but you'll have to work with her and play nice, like not threatening her dear friends or herself. Ashley will be next to as useless as you in this regard, so plan accordingly.

Fyi level 5, 6, and 7 are free I think. The next level is electrum plate at level 8, I need to verify, and it would cost 1000 ep each. Keep that in mind. Adventurers aren't necessarily rich.

You mean the electrum plate has to be paid in ep and we should save them up?

Not in your run. Anyway Neverwinter has electrum coin exchange for travel to the lands that use them.

as Alice said we gotta at least tell them we found this. Yulya has her pride not to steal from questgivers.
metamagic adept and warcaster is a good idea i think it can work with peace cleric a warcaster is just someone who learned to cast under stress in combat situations.
so Yulya will get one ability score increase. con?

choose one that will benefit you most or at least will combine with the next level before the dragon

We are leveling obviously, so I have some suggestions:

Cat, I encourage you to make up your own feats, but here are some to choose from. As part of leveling to level 4 and the ability score improvement, I'm allowing a feat. Additionally, if you choose to only take 1 point of improvement, you can choose two feats. I find feats kind of like a balance to spells for the martial classes since that's been significantly buffed with my scheme. Feats typically can be used once per turn.
-[INTERCEPTION] TO AN ALLY WITHIN 10 FEET, ANY HIT IS REDUCED 1D10+PRO
-[MELEE REACH] WHILE STRIKING, YOU CAN LEAN 5FT IN ANY DIRECTION, THEREBY REACHING ENEMIES THAT ARE 10FT AWAY BY SWINGING TOWARD THEM (15FT WITH A LONG REACH WEAPON), CAN BE STACKED WITH NICK, CLEAVE, SWEEP, ETC. DOES NOT TRIGGER OPPORTUNITY ATTACKS.
-[BOW STRENGTH] USE STR FOR BOW STRIKES
-[ADVANCING STRIKE] MAY ATTACK AT THE END OF A MOVE AS PART OF THE MOVE ONCE PER TURN
-[SUDDEN CHARGE] DASH AND ATTACK WITH ONLY ONLY ONE ACTION
-[CHARGER] WHEN MOVING MORE THEN 10FT BEFORE A STRIKE, ADD +5 TO THE DAMAGE OF THAT HIT
-[SWEEP] ATTACK UP TO THREE ENEMIES WITHIN YOUR REACH IN ONE SWEEPING BLOW.
-[FORCEFUL (TWO HANDED WEAPONS)] WEAPON GAINS DAMAGE OF NUMBER OF HIT DIE ON SECOND STRIKE IN A TURN AND 2X NUMBER OF HIT DIE ON SUBSEQUENT STRIKES IN A TURN. STACKABLE WITH NICK, CLEAVE, SWEEP, ETC.
-[CRITICAL ADVANTAGE] CRITICAL HITS OCCUR NOW FOR 19, AND 20 AND +10 OVER AC (This means if you manage to get 20 including any modifiers on a creature with 10AC, that's automatically a critical hit and so on.)
Thanks! We're still not familiar enough with the game mechanics to design our own. Cat is still undecided between taking one or 2 feats. Boosting STR by 2 to 20(+5) seems more important. If one feat, Cat would probably take SWEEP. MELEE REACH seems tempting but will become either redundant or absurd  at LV10 with BATTERING ROOTS (+10 reach) and a reach weapon. Cat will have 20 ft reach with this already. With melee reach it will be 25ft! Combine this with SWEEP and she can attack 3 enemies within 25 ft each turn.

Yes, it is said there is a curse of level 20, but as designed 5e is pretty broken 10 and above. It becomes pretty goofy in a lot of ways. Getting to 10 is an effort, a lot of advancement occurs by defeating scary monsters but at level 10+ the monsters are all demi-gods to have any chance to defeat a group of level 10 adventurers.

It's like level scaling when at a high level a small rat can take on the city guards and win.

Level 5 is guaranteed, you'll be level 5 to face the dragon but that dragon will be a challenge regardless. If all goes well, you'll be heros and dragonslayers.

Where we go from there is a mystery to me.

It was funny that you asked for cooking oil and this module had cooking oil in the loot. Quite a coincidence.

Everyone list the changes they want here for level 4 and tell me you're ready to advance.

Soo...
I'm not gonna get any ability score improvements/feats this level-up? Lore-wise it's fine to cram everything into LV5 when I transform, I just don't want to drag others down until then by being too weak. But I think we'll manage so it's fine with me! I leveled up for 1000sp and all I got was falling without getting hurt.

Regarding becoming too powerful, this is mostly your fault for giving us too much additional abilities at low levels. Plus that crystal. In vanilla we would only be half as strong, especially Yulya. I still say you do not need any high-level monsters to get us into serious trouble. Just clever ones. Don't let them be pinatas. You're the ones controlling them, do your best!

As for me, all I want is to eventually reach LV10 to get my ship and the ability to make Artificial Trees and awesome branching spines. Then the fun will begin. You will still be able to easily defeat me if you play your cards right due to my weaknesses. The experience of ordinary melee attackers however - may differ.

P.S: Does the handaxe count? I'll put it on the stash.

>your fault

Just trying to make it more fun than "use my sword to hit" x100 "use heal wounds" x10

The monk has a lot of interesting shenanigans, base cleric and barbarian are somewhat bland without a little spice. 5.5e barbarian got some love, pf2e barbarian is based.

But level 10 anything is OP regardless of anything I'm doing.
