I'll tell you because this is a point of instruction. Resistant to normal damage doesn't apply to magic attack. Cat's claws do normal damage, her sword is magic slashing because it is +1, so it would not be resisted.

The cats have a chance to do a magic attack each time, their hits need to pass a savikt throw to gain that effect.

That's an easy question.

Within the line of sight.

I still don't like the other skeletons, they'll revive for sure. Can't Mr. Bigglesworth get their skulls or are they too heavy? I feel that would have more impact on the battle than clawing solid rock.

I recently was able to get data on the carry capacity of housecats.

Now all we need to do is have them evolve hands and the will to follow orders.

He's not a housecat. Housecats don't make whirring sounds. I know that!
He's a demonic monster from the Negative Plane, easily capable of tearing an ordinary human apart. He should be able to bat the skulls off the bodies.

About following orders - if he's more willing to do a suicide attack on a huge monster than bat away skulls of non-undead skeletons, well so it be. Also scripted event is scripted. I get it. We'll fight the skeletons as intended before Ashley has to do more mental gymnastics to justify not helping us. At least guard the skulls of the Big Guys.

>fully capable of genocide
>more willing to kamikaze giant gophers
>can't bat the head off a lifeless 200 year old corpse

Some things are more fun than others

>scripted this scripted that skeletons attacking from everywhere!

Wtf?

I mean if you want me not to help, I'll go get the elevator now instead of this battle. I have enough experience for the dragon fight already.

[Joy] Yes, I slightly (by about 40%) miscalculated the experience you were being given, but that's okay. It just means a tougher dragon.

Oh, quite a lot happened! Wait, Yulya's spell animated the skeletons? Or the green goo?
So Cat was bitten by the bulette. Didnt see that at first because it was not red. 1 DMG from skeleton and 11 from the not-gopher, correct?

Yulya's spell didn't animate them, but it did spark them to unlife given they were already primed. Whether they animated or not was based otherwise on chance, but undead love necrotic damage.

You got 11+1 yes

It's a huge progress from knocking over lanterns, but strategically, they could have made a greater impact by batting away skulls (thereby taking out one enemy per turn) than attacking this nearly invincible behemoth and doing marginal damage, if any. This is what I'm saying. Your summons could be a literal game-changer when used properly. Not for scouting though as we have learned the hard way. Don't they have a Silent / Eco mode?

I assume I can only attack with my spear one-handed while grappling.
Can I shove this thing prone while riding it?
We could also GTFO and watch the landshark and the skeletons hit each other. With our speed they could not easily keep up with Cat and me.

[Ashley] Yeah, you guys run, I'll tank for Yulya and when he takes me out in one bite mecha-me the troll will be happy to repossess my corpse just to mess with Alice more while I drink tea with SheShe.

[Ashley] If anything,  I'm putting the heads back on the trolls. And you're totally wasting our fodder by taking out the skeletons. Are you nuts?
