[Round 7][Ghoul will recover in 30 seconds]

Alice disengages from the bugbears and as a bonus action dashes 80ft west, hoping to lure the bugbears away right to the bird-friends. But without alerting them yet.

[Alice's brilliant and heroic plan: 1d100=4, LUCK: 1d20=7, BUGBEARS Decide: 1d2=(2,2), Stirges Decide: 1d3=(3,1,3)]

Alice's plan failed, but not completely, the Stirges were already alerted and on their way as Alice races West, she skids to a stop, followed by the bugbears as the bird-like creatures reach them. Two of them split off and attack Bugbear 2 while one attacks Alice.

[Grapple vs DC15,14,14 1d20+10=(14,15,29)][HIT vs AC18 1d20+9=(23,15),(28,14)][DMG AUTO-WOUND 1d4+6=9]

Being extremely nimble predators, they swoop in and attempt to grapple and strike their prey. The one targeting Alice just barely misses her but the other two manage to grapple tightly onto Bugbear2 and attack, one of them managing to find a good place to strike and wound him. It's jagged and razor sharp beak plunges deep into the flesh of his scalp causing him one level of exhaustion. The nature of its beak is meant to keep a wound open as they drink the blood of their victim.

Leaving Nezzer behind and out of mind, Alice reconsiders why she couldn't attack him.

[Saving Throw[A] vs DC15 1d20-1+1d4=(11,5)]

She just can't shake the notion that he's just too charismatic to attack.

Meanwhile Cat gives Yulya [2d6=3] temporary hit points and fires her crossbow at the zombie again.

[HIT vs AC10 1d20+1+2+1d4=9]

Once again, her shot misses. She moves West with Yulya.

Yulya spots Alice Run west away from the Bulette with two bugbears in hot pursuit. She casts Toll the Dead, using her goblin staff obviously, on the zombie she hit last time and then retreats 30 ft west with Cat.

[WIS vs DC15 1d20-2=13][DMG 1d12+3+2=10]

The bell tolls and the Zombie is adversely effected, significantly wounding the already weakened creature.

Trying to stay out of reach of the zombie, puts them 30 ft West. Though the zombie catches up, it's used it's turn to catch up to Yulya, but still charged with electric energy it readies a touch to discharge it's remaining energy (use action).

[HIT vs AC15+2 1d20+3=10]

The zombie doesn't manage to make contact but is still charged.

Yulya can sense Nezzer casting something but isn't sure what.

M3gan Panther scratches and bites at the tough hide of the bulette as it desperately attempts to buck her off.

[Escape Grapple STR 17 vs DC23 1d20+7=17][HIT vs AC22 1d20+1+3+10+1d4 (31,22)(28,32)(30,23)][DMG 1d6+3+1+2=11+11+11=33 Magic piercing and slashing]

It just can't manage to shake her and suffers the consequences, as it's hide is ripped and torn. In return, it attempts to slam it's back against a wall.

[SLAM vs AC15= 1d20+13=21][DMG 2d10+10=20 M3gan Panther's metallic structure resists bludgeoning so she takes 10 damage]

You can tell by her scuffs and cracks that M3gan Panther is near her end as well.

[Note: Cat's great sword and longbow are both magic +1 so the blade and arrows will not be resisted by the bulette's resistance, they have +1 to hit and damage.]

Meanwhile Cat gives Yulya [2d6=3] temporary hit points and fires her crossbow at the zombie again.
Once again, her shot misses. She moves West with Yulya.
Cat scratches her head, wondering if it's the crossbow or her beaten-up state that is to blame.

Trying to stay out of reach of the zombie, puts them 30 ft West. Though the zombie catches up, it's used it's turn to catch up to Yulya, but still charged with electric energy it readies a touch to discharge it's remaining energy (use action).
The zombie doesn't manage to make contact but is still charged.
Yulya Nya!
Cat notices the zombie is still charged and off-limits for a melee attack. Cat waits for Yulya to attack the zombie. If it's still un-alive after that, Cat will fire one honed arrow at the zombie. If not, she'll fire a poisoned arrow at the bulette, leaving the ghoul for later. Assuming that the zombie is eliminated, Cat moves towards the bulette. Should by extreme luck the zombie and the bulette go down, Cat again turns her attention to the ghoul and approaches him for decapitation.

Yulya is miraculously spared but still faces the undead creature.

Cat we need to finish this!
Yulya casts Sacred Flame amplified by the goblin staff and her celestial Revelation again hoping to take down the zombie.

We need to deal with this spellcaster now or the stream of enemies will never end!

Yulya looks to the ghoul and bulette finding herself surrounded by enemies. She leaves it to Cat where she goes next. if the zombie is down Yulya moves 30ft further west.

Shoo, I don't have any blood for you!

She attempts to grapple Stirge#2. If successful, she drags it along 5ft W to Bugbear#1 and pushes it onto him while passing by. Then she continues moving the rest of her movement back East. If unsuccessful, Alice moves 40ft West in an attempt to separate the bugbears.

[Round 8][Ghoul will recover in 24 seconds]

Yulya casts Sacred Flame amplified by the goblin staff and her celestial Revelation again hoping to take down the zombie.

[DEX vs DC15 1d20-2=14][DMG 1d8+3+2=10]

She recites the ancient incantation and with a flash of holy light, the zombie is burned and falls to the ground dead re-dead, so she moves 30ft West.

Seeing the zombie fall for good, Cat sends a poison arrow toward the Bulette at a range of 115ft.

[LONG BOW +1 (160/600)][HIT 1d20+1+2+1+1d4=CM]

Luck is frowning on poor ole Cat as the arrow snaps in half as it's fired, destroying it. Tough luck! She then moves on toward the Bulette. (25ft)

[Though you had only a roughly 23% chance to hit the Bulette. Lady luck did you dirty here.]

Alice disengages from the Stirges. She attempts to grapple Stirge#2.

[Grapple vs (extremely nimble) DC20 1d20+5+1d4=12]

Unable to catch a flying bird mid swoop, she attempts to move West in an attempt to separate the bugbears, but the barrier set up by the watcher stops her just beyond the destroyed seal, which is only 30ft.

The Bulette attempts to escape the grapple of M3gan Cat.

[Escape Grapple STR 17 vs DC23 1d20+7=14]

M3gan Cat holds on tightly and attacks the bulette again mercilessly, clawing and biting.

[HIT vs AC22 1d20+1+3+10+1d4=(27,28)(32,33)(35,24)][DMG 1d6+3+1+2=7+8+7=24 Magic piercing and slashing]

Desperately thrashing, knowing its life is soon to end, it again tries to slam the cat against a wall.

[SLAM vs AC15= 1d20+13=24][DMG 2d10+10=24 M3gan Panther's metallic structure resists bludgeoning so she takes 12 damage]

She can't take much more of this but she manages to stay awake.

Stirges2 makes its choice.

[1d2=2,2]

Following its company, it swoops toward Bugbear2 and attempts to grapple.

Bugbear2 abandons his weapons and attempts to remove the stirges.

[Escape Grapple vs DC20 1d20+4=(21,8)][Removal Damage 1d4=2, Grasp 1d4=3][Grapple vs DC14 1d20+10=18][HIT vs AC18 1d20+9=(23,15),(28,14)][DMG AUTO-WOUND 1d4+6=9,7]

He manages to grab one and pull it off, crushing it in his grasp, he throws it down, but suffers injury from its removal, then gets grappled by another, both the 2nd and 3rd dealing damage and another wound, leaving him with 18 damage and exhaustion 2 with two wounds on his head and -2 proficiency, he's close to falling.

Bugbear1 chases Alice and moves 30ft West then attempts to throw his dagger at her from 10ft.

[HIT vs AC14 1d20+8=19][DMG 1d4+7=11][3rd and final Deflect 1d10+7=11]

Alice redirects the projectile toward its thrower and deals 11 damage to him. But he shrugs it off.

[Alice is in poor shape, with only 4HP and 1 ki point remaining.]

[Hidden rolls]

Yulya has a strange sense of intuition that tells her Nezzner is near her, within 30ft, but she sees nothing.

Damned, I told you to knock it off!

If this takes the bugbear down, Alice moves 5ft SE and the rest of her movement East staying out of reach of the other bugbear and the stirges.

If Yulya can detect Nezzner, Cat will engage and attempt to grapple him. If not, she will try to sniff him out first.

Yulya regains a lot of confidence by finishing off the zombie.
Cat I sense the spellcaster is near! He's our top priority. M3gan will manage! Focus on him!

Yulya uses 1MP from the focus and casts Detect Magic to reveal Nezzers location. If possible she attempts to flank him with Cat if hes revealed but keeps as much distance as possible.

[Round 9][Ghoul will recover in 18 seconds]

Yulya uses 1MP from the focus and casts Detect Magic to reveal Nezzner's location. If possible she attempts to flank him with Cat if he's revealed but keeps as much distance as possible.

[Detect magic can be used to see a faint aura around a magic item or someone using visibility within 30ft, which you already know. So since Nezzner has that staff, then you can see the aura surrounding at least that. I don't like the idea that someone using a spell can't be detected by this so that's why I interpreted it the way I did. See? How can I be evil if I'm allowing this. Thank you for your attention to this matter.

Signed,
You're benevolent DM.]

For a brief moment Yulya can see the faint outline of the staff Nezzner is carrying, so she alerts Cat; however, she can feel Ashley's wild magic [1d100=67] and she's struck with intense fear and unable to move this turn. While fearfully fuddling with Ashley's Focus, she realizes that Ashley filled the large focus just before she left and she hasn't used it yet, though with Ashley's wild magic, this is more of a gamble than ever.

Yulya can detect Nezzner, so though Cat is alerted and with her enahnced smell, she has pinpointed him and attempts to grapple him without Yulya's flank.

[GRAPPLE(A) vs DC11 1d20+7=20]

Attempting to sneak past, he's startled by the use of detect magic against him, he throws his staff but it's too late, Cat manages to grab him and in this way he's unable to use magic or move, he struggles against her as his invisibility fades.

"Come on now, let's be reasonable." Nezzner says and attempts to break Cat's grasp.

[ESCAPE vs DC17 1d20+1=3]

He fails miserably at it.

Alice finds herself in a hopeless battle with a far superior fighter with gobs of health and high AC, she wouldn't possibly waste a perfect opportunity to show off her skills by simply attacking with a spear esepcially without advantage, while thinking of doing just that she catches a flash of light, M3gan panther, as if knowing a mundane and unheroic mistake was about to be made, suddenly fills Alice's mind with ideas.

Cornered and with nowhere to run, Alice has no choice but to attack Bugbear#1, first with a grapple, followed by a shove to topple the bugbear. Alice spends her last Ki point for another unarmed strike with advantage, attempting specifically to blind the bugbear which will cost advantage but will cause the most effective use of her abilities.

[GRAPPLE vs DC14 1d20+3=18][See?][TOPPLES][HIT(FOCUSED FOR THE EYES) vs AC18 1d20+3+2+1d4=24 LUCK 1d20=17,17][DAMAGE 1d6+3=5]

Masterfully and in control, though she's not sure at this point who's control, Alice grapples the Bugbear, pushes him down, mounts his back and rakes his eyes from behind. He's powerless to stop her from plucking the eyes from his head.

Her head clears and she finds herself in the posetion of two squishy round orbs and a very angry Bugbear.

He thrashes and attepts to attack out of rage, unable to see but not needing sight to attempt to hit in close combat.

[HIT(D) 1d20+9,+5=(11,21)(17,19)][DMG 1d3+8=11 Blunt/2 Resistant=5]

One of his fists make contact and knock Alice out, but before he can stand, she regains consiousness, feeling a strange heat from one of her fingers, one of the three gems on the Ring of the Badger goes black and she's returned to consiousness with 1HP.

The stirges continue their relentless assault on Bugbear2, as he attempts to grab them off.

[Escape Grapple vs DC20 1d20+4=(6,8)][HIT vs AC18 1d20+9=(20,17),(CM,21)][DMG 1d4+6=8,10]

He attempts to grab them off his head but it's too late, he loses consiousness and falls to the ground. The stirges drink their fill of his blood.

M3gan Panther slashes at her mostrocity.

[HIT vs AC22 1d20+1+3+10+1d4=(20,25)(CM,24)][DMG 1d6+3+1+2=7+7=14 Magic piercing and slashing]

With intent to escape it before it slams again, she gives it one last slash but to her pleasant surprise, it falls to its injuries. She uses her last action to tear into it in an effort to prevent it from ever getting back up in any form, healed or undeadified, again.

[This will take a while, so presume she's not available to help in any way for 1d10=5 turns]

Great work Cat! Be sure to keep him from casting spells! Don't look into his eyes either!
Flanking with Cat Yulya casts Sacred Flame amplified by goblin staff and celestial revelation on Nezzner. If his staff happens to be reachable on the way and outside his opportunity attack range Yulya picks it up, all while averting her eyes..

[Round 10][Ghoul will recover in 12 seconds][M3gan Panther will be ready in 24 seconds]

Ripping away skin plates, M3gan Panther digs through the tough hide of the bulette to get to his neck vertebrae.

Cat attempts to shove Nezzner prone and covers his mouth so he cannot use verbal or somatic commands, but prioritizes shutting him up.

[ESCAPE[D] vs DC17 1d20+1=(7,3)][Since Cat is actively constraining him, I'll give her advantage]

His vein and muffled attempts to break free from Cat's grip are pathetic.

Flanking with Cat, Yulya casts Sacred Flame amplified by goblin staff and celestial revelation on Nezzner. On the way and outside his opportunity attack range Yulya picks up his staff, all while averting her eyes from his gaze.

[DEX vs DC15 1d20+2=12][DMG 1d8+3+2=8]

Nezzner's muffled scream of pain indicates it hurt him significantly.

The staff feels remarkably light, but she can tell it would take some attunement to use it. She can't tell what it does but it looks depleted for today anyway as all the seven gems on it are dull and dark.

[Attunement for this object will take an hour.]

With one bugbear blind and the other unconscious, there is no need to fight them anymore. Killing them would just offer Nezzer more zombie material. Alice dashes 80ft East as a bonus action, staying out of the stirges' reach by going 5t SE first.

The Stirges couldn't care less, they're happily feeding. Bugbear2 is close to death.

Bugbear1 runs blindly west, following the sound of her footsteps and flailing his mace in front of him.
