Elon does one thing well, cause unsustainable stock prices.

A shlub like me couldn't get any ipo, they gave them to brokerages. I got it 20% over ipo price but it's free and clear and I don't have to hold for 6 mo.

I got plenty, looking to make a mil in 10 years or so as our currency continues to be devalued.

Honestly I used play around money I had. I got some set aside for the crash if that ever happens.
how much did you lose until now?

news from Lithuania:
apple trees are kill bc of winter. we have a lot of apple trees basically the only fruit that grows on trees here. too cold for anything else. the local apples are smol but incredibly tough. or so we thought. i havent really noticed here in the city where its relatively warm but apparently most of the orchards are dead.
https://www.lrt.lt/en/news-in-english/19/2964212/up-to-90-of-lithuanian-apple-trees-lost-to-unprecedented-winter

also no mushrooms so far.

>lose

It's hard to lose anything in this stock market that more than doubled in 6 years.

I had an account with a reasonable sum that went up 1000% since I graduated college and that's flipping crazy. I wouldn't dare sell it bit damn what would I even do with all that worthless cash?

Money won't make you happy, but lack of money will make you sad.

Fun fact - I am basically FIRE. I do my science job for fun, not because I need the income. That would be bad because the payment is ridiculous. I live off stock market revenues. I do not know how much your property is worth, and including that you are most likely richer than me (or Alice actually as she controls all the finances). But I would never buy a house in Germany. You own nothing. I already posted how the local government tells you what you are allowed to keep in your garage, how you are allowed to heat your house, what energy efficiency level it must achieve and all that - and it's getting worse. You will likely soon have to pay property tax for all your assets. Can't pay the tax for the insane fictional real estate value of the house you are living in? Then sell it and move out. Nah never. I pay a symbolic rent since the landlady is a friend of my parents. I guess 1/4 of the appropriate rent at max. If I bought the property (which I can't, it's huge and in a good area of Munich, just the land is must be worth millions), I'd pay more for the house insurance than I do now for rent. And be responsible for adhering to an endless list of regulations. The big question is what happens when the landlady dies. But she's not that old and very healthy. Even if someone else buys the house, they can neither  kick me out nor abruptly raise the rent because of tenants rights. So I'm not overly worried. I'm certainly not rich and live a (relatively) simple life, but I have no financial worried. Especially since Alice now keeps me from spending tens of thousands of € on cool things I don't actually need.

I am unfortunately far from perfect, and he still spent an insane amount on firearms and accessories this year. But I hope to reach my 1million eur in stocks until 2030. We'd have been there in 2020 already if that man hadn't sabotaged me due to 'concerns'...

I hear it's hot in Europe, it's a beautiful 26C here today, clear, cool breeze, but I have AC so my house is 23C and my office at work is not even 21, they keep me cold.

It is a different world than it was 8 years ago and a heck of a different world than it was in what... many years ago when a 10-yr-old Bear did wild stuff on chat sites and left it permanently when I realized almost everyone on the internet was a 40+ year old gay man looking for children. Nowadays almost everyone on the internet is l.g.b.t which also inlculed MAPS so some things haven't changed.

The internet will be the end of many careers because people don't know where the line is between free speech and appropriate speech. Never mind video posting, even just text posting.

I understand that I am one of these people. So treading carefully is a real challenge for me. Again I had the wherewithal to stop before there was trouble.

Where is this coming from? This is the last place I am posting, there is no other place or active account I have as of today. Honestly I just got tired of TDS, antisemitism and the mentally ill online. I really don't want to be talking to the GP and so why am I doing exactly that online? With AI as well, I couldn't GAS but they are collecting all the data and there's no opting out other than not playing at all.

I tried to teach you how to stay safe out there. I can't help you if you phonepost with bare IP without correcting your trademark spelling mistakes. Remember we're living in a country where making a harmless joke about a politician, putting a like under the wrong post, or accidentally using the wrong combination of numbers will get you raided, arrested, jailed and labeled as terrorist for life. Yes, the internet ruins the lives of lots of people here. Mostly boomers. Because they're fucking dumb. And lazy. Yes, we need to go to a crazy amount of steps to stay safe, but we are. I've done insane shit online when I was young and foolish - and I am still here. I know you don't believe it, but I also know you don't know how much effort is behind each and every single one of our posts. AI is a problem, which is why you need to run your own locally. Yes, that's gonna be expensive, but it's doable. The key to the game is to always be 2 steps ahead. We will manage. The next steps are already worked out. we are only still in this old-fashioned place because of you. The question is - will you come along with us when the time comes - or go full innawoods?

Uh, no. Count me in as a dumb and lazy millennial. Running onion servers and the like just make FBI lives more difficult but certainly not in any way stop them.

So no, I'm not running any AI or other bullshit. So far I've left my footprint and the internet never forgets.

So the only thing I can do as a country loving American who is too dumb and lazy to know the difference between 2nd Ammendment and terroristic threats is not play.

I just need to make it another 12 yesrs or so, retire while I'm still young, and live off the vast stores of money I have worked so hard to amass. Then probably be bored off my ass, flip houses or do construction as a paid hobby.
