We get those.
Today while at the beach I saw quite a few of these:

In the shallows among all the myriad swimmers and waders in the shallows about hip deep. I'd never seen such fish before. I've seen other fish that were yellow and orange ones occasionally, lots of rays, purple medusa jellyfish, along with dolphins, the occasional whale and sea lions and seals but never this fish before. Maybe it was because the water was especially clear and calm today.
Spent way too long in the cold water but I was mostly fine because of my spring suit which is new. I never had one before and it was really nice not to be freezing my butt off. I remember being young and not caring that my toes are going numb, so I had to limit the time to 1 hour increments or who knows what would have happened to my young beach mate.
I believe the water was supposed to be 72 Freedom degrees, as the air temperature was also that, but at some point just beyond where the water was above my waste, the water temperature decreased sharply to icy cold. Even with 'Super El Nino' the water is just stubbornly frigid. Without that cold current, my city would be insanely hot like Florida.
Anyway, had fun, still hate sand, spent an hour washing everything off at home.
