To your relief Mormesk returns through a rift in time space that quickly heals as he steps through. He looks down at you all resting and your minds are filled with a rather pleased sense of satisfaction.
Alice jumps up
Yay, Mr. Mormesk is back!
I got Nezzer's head! It was weird, he grabbed his amulet and teleported us to another plane! There was this elf god with catgirls! He cut off Nezzers head and gave it to me before sending me back. I think Nezzers body was sucked into the negative plane afterwards. No idea what was really happening. Maybe he sold his soul to a demon or evil god? Who was that Nezzer guy anyway? He was really weak.

He seems to know where it is and steps toward the severed head of Nezzner, taking it from its stow, he lifts it to look into its eyes,
"I see you've completed your task. I have done well to trust you with this matter and now that the mine is clear I will take my leave."
With the great double candy success, Alice tries to pull off the same stunt once again.
Mr Mormeeeesk!?
What are you going to do with the head now? It's great if you keep it as trophy, but in case you have no use for his ears... may I have them? I am collecting ears of enemies, like you collect treasure...

Alice steps from one foot to the other while looking down like a child making an unreasonable request.

He places the following items at your feet.
- Jade Frog
Yay Froggo's back! Thank you Mr. Mormesk!
Alice happily tosses the Jade from into her mouth again, storing it in the Lolibank.

He bows his head in thanks, "is there anything else you need of me before I take my leave?"
Alice shyly points at Nezzer's ears once again

Sir Mormesk I am certain the inhabitants of Neverwinter will be... excited by your arrival - but maybe not in the way you hope. Sir Mormesk - centuries have passed and time - uh - has taken a toll on your body. May I suggest to alter your appearance to a - less intimidating form before leaving this mountain? Just not to cause any misunderstandings and avoid unnecessary conflict...

Yulya takes out her ledger and the ink quill and paper and quickly writes a short letter to Freya.
Please accept this letter which briefly explains the events that took place in this mountain and your role in supporting us! When you come to Neverwinter please deliver it to Freya of the Adventueres Guild. Consider it a letter of recommendation from my party. It should help you gain recognition in the city as I am afraid you might be treated as an enemy otherwise. Remember that centuries has passed and the people who once had known you have long passed away. And should it come to the worst - please show restraint and do not attack the inhabitants of Neverwinter - even if they may initially show hostility towards you. This is my only wish.
Alice is impressed by Yulya's considerate behavior
That's our leader for you, she thinks of everything! Yeah I think you look very cool Mr. Mormesk but ordinary people will be scared! You'll cause huuge uproar if you show up in Neverwinter like this! They're already on edge, I think there's rumors of a shapeshifting dragon in the city. And monsters are roaming free everywhere...

Nyaaa, wait a minute Nya! What happened to the Phandalin girls Nya? I think the panther saved them but where did they go Nya?
Alice stares at Cat with an open mouth
Haah? Who?
Ohhyeah, the girls Nezzner kidnapped to abuse them - sexually!
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qRdYXr8QpCM

Riiight I totally forgot! No idea where the Candygoddess took them! I was inside that room! Didn't she pass by you??

Alice glances at the snoring panther
Well, I guess they're dead...

Only one burning skull of the Spectator remains on the loose!

Mormesk waves off you concerns.

I got Nezzer's head! It was weird, he grabbed his amulet and teleported us to another plane! There was this elf god with catgirls! He cut off Nezzner's head and gave it to me before sending me back. I think Nezzner's body was sucked into the negative plane afterwards. No idea what was really happening. Maybe he sold his soul to a demon or evil god? Who was that Nezzer guy anyway? He was really weak. What are you going to do with the head now? It's great if you keep it as trophy, but in case you have no use for his ears... may I have them? I am collecting ears of enemies, like you collect treasure...

He holds the head in his hand and casts a strange ancient magic that Yulya couldn't place as being part of any of the schools of magic she's known but is close enough to Abjuration. The effect is that the head deflates and in his other hand is a pristine skull. He hands the skin and flesh of the Nezzner's head to Alice. Then the skull flashes out of existence in a burst of blue flame.

M3gan Panther's eyes pop open from the commotion.

They're already on edge, I think there's rumors of a shapeshifting dragon in the city. And monsters are roaming free everywhere...

Mormesk looks at his hand with some curiosity then casts minor mirror image and an exact duplicate faces him. He stares at it for a few seconds, then casts Greater Lasting Major Image and before your eyes the terrifying and unnatural symbol of death, the undead ancient lich you know as Mormesk, is transformed into a young man wearing fine nobility clothing from a bygone era. Gold thread and exquisite fabrics not seen for centuries adorn him and though his attire may seem out of place, his look is far from the abomination he once was.

He speaks as naturally as you would though his accent and cadence are quite out of a time long gone by, "Ah, I hitherto unsuspectedly became a lich. It really wasn't my intention." The mirror image has also changed and he adjusts his hair as the mirror image does the same. In a flash he dismisses the image. "This is the form I had when I first met the king, and I assure you his take, as well as several young lass in his employ, were sufficiently positive."

M3gan Panther watches this silently, then stands and stretches and rushes off to Ashley's pack.

Please accept this letter which briefly explains the events that took place in this mountain and your role in supporting us! When you come to Neverwinter please deliver it to Freya of the Adventure's Guild. Consider it a letter of recommendation from my party. He takes the letter and thinks hard on your request then a flash of remembrance crosses his face, "Ah! I recall the Trade of Blades! In the Protector's Enclave. I will deliver your letter therein care of the woman you requested."

Sir Mormesk may i bother you for a last task? Nezzner abducted several girls from Phandalin for unknown reasons! We do not know about their current whereabouts and condition. Your vast power and knowledge might be needed in saving them. Will you lend us a hand?

Riiight I totally forgot! No idea where the Candy goddess took them! I was inside that room! Didn't she pass by you??

"I do apologize but I assure you no further evil exists in the mountain but the myriad caverns and tunnels are a maze of an unrelenting labyrinth without a proper map, even I would take days if not weeks to properly map and search the area. I'll offer you this: good luck."

Well, I guess they're dead...

A fully dressed M3gan arrives wearing Ashley's pack and bows to Mormesk and addresses Alice, "They're not dead, I've secure them safely." M3gan tells you where to find them.

[They're marked on your map.]

She looks to Mormesk,"I wish to accompany you back to Neverwinter."

He smiles and gives a welcoming gesture.

She turns to Yulya and smiles, then her expression falls to an apologetic serious one, "Ms. Yulya, I'm afraid your companion Ashley has chosen not to return to her body at this time. As our task is complete here, I have my own agendas that must take precedent." She picks up one of the mithril coins and hands it to her symbolically, then hands over Ashley's pack and a few other items. "I know Ashley would have wanted you to have this, I can't claim it.[/i]

This was a difficult choice on my part to help lighten my mental and temporal load here on out. Though it may change, it's likely you will be a party of four again when you rejoin Summer.]

[M3gan and Mormesk will leave momentarily, it's unclear if and when you will see either of them again. Interactions Required.]

"This is the form I had when I first met the king, and I assure you his take, as well as several young lass in his employ, were sufficiently positive."
Yulya is both surprised and relieved by Mormsks new look- but also slightly concerned an undead could disguise himself like that.
Yes indeed I can imagine! Things should be a lot easier for you like this!

He takes the letter and thinks hard on your request then a flash of remembrance crosses his face, "Ah! I recall the Trade of Blades! In the Protector's Enclave. I will deliver your letter therein care of the woman you requested."
Yulya bows
You have my gratitude Sir Mormesk! I wish you all the Best!

M3gan turns to Yulya and smiles, then her expression falls to an apologetic serious one, "Ms. Yulya, I'm afraid your companion Ashley has chosen not to return to her body at this time. Yulya freezes
What do you mean - Ashley...
Wait are you serious? Are you saying she is really - permanently dead now? She does not want to come back? Was it really so - terrible with us?

Yulya thinks about the visions of Ashley drinking tea and at the beach for a moment and has to acknowledge she has a point but still...
Tears start rolling down Yulyas cheeks

We had our differences and yet - I found her back then - nursed her back to health like all of you. To me it was not only my mission bestowed upon my by the gods. It was like...
Yulya realizes something she has never thought of before. Though she is younger than Cat Ashley - and probably even Alice - she had considered herself as a guardian - a parent of her party members. And responsible for their safety. And now - even though Ashley voluntarily had chosen this path- she feels like an utter failure.

Yulya looks at M3gan.
This may not be important to you - but Ashley was important to us! Please tell her to visit us again - will you?

He holds the head in his hand and casts a strange ancient magic . The effect is that the head deflates and in his other hand is a pristine skull. He hands the skin and flesh of the Nezzner's head to Alice. Then the skull flashes out of existence in a burst of blue flame.
Alice watches the spectacle with amazement.
Oh cool! Can I really have that? Thank you very much, Mr. Mormesk!

Alice being Alice, she slips the skin over her head like a mask and dances around waving her arms
Look at me, I'm Nezzer the Black Spider!

Alice laughs heartily over her own joke, takes the skin off and absorbs it into her body for cleaning and preservation.
Haa, I'm gonna bring that to the tailor in Neverwinter and have him make a hood for me. Hey, It might be a good protection against the cold out there if I wear my Nezzer mask...

Alice is less impressed, thinking he looked cooler before, but from her own experience as alien monster agrees that this form will cause him less trouble.

"I do apologize but I assure you no further evil exists in the mountain but the myriad caverns and tunnels are a maze of an unrelenting labyrinth without a proper map, even I would take days if not weeks to properly map and search the area. I'll offer you this: good luck."
Alice nods in agreement and claps her hands as a sort of prayer without visible concern
May they rest in peace!

A fully dressed M3gan arrives wearing Ashley's pack and bows to Mormesk and addresses Alice, "They're not dead, I've secure them safely." M3gan tells you where to find them.
Oh, the candygoddess is back! I don't know how you managed to get them there but good work! Let's go look for them now!

"I know Ashley would have wanted you to have this, I can't claim it.[/i]
Like Yulya, Alice who had set out to the Phandalin girls stops in her tracks.
Oi what the hell? You're not just snatching her body, right? She really doesn't wanna go back? Uh well it was warm and very beautiful there and there were tree-
Wait a minute, isn't this just desertion instead of a tragic loss?

Alice feels more angry than sad.
Always doing her own thing huh? I won't accept that! I don't mind if she takes a break being dead but she'll have to come back and explain herself better sooner than later! Tell her that, Candygoddess! And now you're leaving too?

Now Alice generally feels sad. Switching between Ashley and the Mechatherial Demigoddess was fun in its own way, but her leaving in Ashley's body?
But - but there are many things I wanted to talk about with you... Starting from why you crashed my ship! Everyone has some fancy patron gods in this world and you were as close as it gets in this regard for me...
At least listen to this! It seemed to be important to Ashley!
Alice recapitulates what happened when Nezzer was killed and how his body was sucked into the Negative Plane as far as she can remember, including the vortex and the creepy laughter. She stares at M3gan, looking for a reaction

The demigoddess takes on a solemn look, bows her head and begins to speak in a low tone, "Though I didn't know Ashley as you did, I knew her better than most as our souls were intertwined and her memories are clear to me; she enjoyed her time with you. However, Ashley was and will always be a woman of solitude and strained relations. Having spent so much time in the negative plane, alone and left only to her own devices from such a tender age, she lost much of her humanity and her ability to build strong lasting relationships, but still there was a fondness there and a tenderness especially to animals under her care. I can share that she never fully trusted humanoids of any kind and found herself much more comfortable with the beasts of the realm and beastkin to a greater degree than other beings.

Whether she was cheering from the sidelines or protecting those she cared about, she was a champion for those she deemed worthy, and you were all worthy. Though Ashley is no longer with us physically, her spirit lives on in the lessons she taught us, in her independence, her strong will, her fearlessness and tenacity for justice. Those aspects will live on in us all. Loss and grief are a part of life, so she believed, and opportunities will always present themselves, those bring about choices, and choices are often difficult. Above all, Ashley was a prudent if not impulsive soul, she wishes you all well and knows you'll achieve anything you set your minds to achieve."

Mormesk adds, "Nothing is permanent in the material plane, changes have occurred such that it is likely none of my comrades are still among us."

Alice recapitulates what happened when Nezzer was killed and how his body was sucked into the Negative Plane as far as she can remember, including the vortex and the creepy laughter. She stares at M3gan, looking for a reaction.

"I was never involved in the negative plane, but from what Ashley remembers, it is just reward for the one we knew as Nezzner." She says no more about ships or accusations of desertion.

Alice being Alice, she slips the skin over her head like a mask and dances around waving her arms
Look at me, I'm Nezzer the Black Spider!
Cat looks at the desecration of an enemy's remains with disdain and sighs. Eating a defeated foe to gain his strength is one thing and even a gesture of respect, but this is just bad comedy.

Mormesk looks at his hand with some curiosity then casts minor mirror image and an exact duplicate faces him. Cat stares t the transformations with an open mouth.
Nyaa the blue ghost turned into a noble Nya!
Her keen senses still detect that there is something off with this human - or rather undead pretending to be human.t least no reason to be afraid anymore. Cat steps forward from behind Yulya and musters Mormesk with curiosity.

A fully dressed M3gan arrives wearing Ashley's pack and bows to Mormesk and addresses Alice, "They're not dead, I've secure them safely." M3gan tells you where to find them.
Never having fully gotten the demigoddess thing, for Cat Ashley is back and all is well.
Nyaa good you're turned back Nya we almost forgot about the girls Nya great you rescued them Ashley Nya!

She turns to Yulya and smiles, then her expression falls to an apologetic serious one, "Ms. Yulya, I'm afraid your companion Ashley has chosen not to return to her body at this time. Cat looks around in utter confusion, unable to follow the conversation but senses that her comrades feel something very bad has happened.
N-Nya what's going on Nya? Ashley Nya? You're leaving us Nya?

The somber mood is broken my Mormesk, "I must be headed off to catch my bearings, I've spent long enough in this tomb. Are you ready?"

M3gan nods and waves to everyone with an air just as regal as Mormesk looks.

You're leaving us Nya?

She nods to Cat.
